So last night we were walking around lowes picking out our new flooring for the house. As I was standing there signing some papers I hear a couple of older men (65ish) talking behind me. Not paying attention to them and just minding my own business. One of them asks when I was due and I said about one more week! He looks at me and says "well they don't get much bigger than you, do they?"
Uhhhh. I guess not? I was so proud of myself for holding my tonge and turning around and not making a snarky comment, but I wanted to tell the man to shove it where the sun don't shine!
I have tried so hard this pregnancy to be healthy and happy. And I have accomplished my goal! With the close, watchful eye of my dr I have only gained about 10lbs (I was overweight to begin with) and I have been exercising and trying to stay healthy. It sucks to do all of that work and have people tell you that you are huge. I know I'm not fat, I'm pregnant, but since when was it ok to make those types of hateful comments?!
Sorry for the vent. I just have always had a bad body image and was just starting to feel pretty being the size of a whale...only for two old men I don't even know to just break me down.
So my SO took me to get a big piece of chocolate fudge cake and told me how beautiful I was all night. It's a good thing there are still some decent men out there
