open cups

Has anyone introduced an open cup yet, and if so, are there any you like?

I posted a while ago that kiddo still drinks out of a bottle - that I have to hold for her! - because she simply doesn't give a toss about milk. Despite being able to drink water out of a straw cup perfectly well. Lots of you suggested I make the switch and just hold firm. Well, she's been on a straw cup now for a week now, and has only about 6oz of milk a day. Takes a sip and says done. We've tried the Zoli, Tommee Tippee, and Munchkin - she couldn't care less. We've been trying to make up the calcium by plying her with cheese (she refuses yoghurt). So now I'm wondering if we should just try an open cup.

    I got Mira a playtex brand open cup that is spillproof. She was using the straw cup and tipping it upside down and letting the water out or taking huge sips and letting it dribble down her face. She is doing awesome with the playtex cup bc it still controls how much she can get out.

    Hunter uses one at school and now insists on the open top at home. Needless to say he only gets an open top in the high chair

    We have a Doidy cup, and while it sometimes make a mess, we love it.

    He can sip from a normal cup but he can't hold it yet. He drinks a ton from his straw cup so I haven't thought too much about switching.

    Alright, thanks everyone. I shall give it a try although honestly, I have little hope. This would be so much easier if the kid just wanted milk enough! Impossible to do battle with someone who doesn't even realise there is a battle!

    I had the Doidy in mind, will give it a shot Barefoot. I am surprised there aren't any competitors. The Tilty seems to have a spout. Grimesk, what is this magical cup you speak of? I can't find it. Andreab - suddenly like milk? Don't tease me :)
