Biting

I know there was a post awhile back about LOs biting others or beig bitten. Mira has started biting herself. When I try to redirect her to a teething toy she throws the toy and goes back to biting herself. Also yesterday she leaned in like she was gonna kiss me and instead bit my face. Anyone else's LO doing this? Second time moms do you have any advice? TIA!

    My son was on a biting kick too.  It lasted about 2 weeks.  We just started correcting him by holding his face and taking serious with him.  "We do not bite!"  "That is not ok!"  He finally just stopped doing it. 

    Same thing with throwing food on the floor.  It was just a phase.

    Thanks for the responses ladies! I'm not going to like them bc I don't like this biting phase!! I am glad that Mira's not the only one doing it though.

    DS bites me when he's frustrated. He's bitten himself too, so I think he's trying it out. When he bites me I tell him "No biting. I don't like that, it hurts me." If he does it again I move him across the room. If he follows me, I move myself or put him somewhere else. It's only when he's pissed, so I've been working on redirecting instead of getting to that point.
