Professional Maternity Clothes on Hautelook?

Where do you get your office appropriate outfits? I work in a high tempo, professional yet very artsy environment and Ann Taylor is just not going to cut it for me in terms of designs/offerings.  I've been scrambling to look professional and it's so hard to find cute, feminine, flattering items. Any one else out there in the same situation that doesn't have time to search stores all day for stuff? What are you doing? I just purchased a few items on Hautelook and I'm hoping they will work out. Thx, and I look forward to hearing your ideas!

  • Gilt.com has had some nice (but pricey) stuff recently.

  • I've gotten some decent stuff from ASOS.

  • ASOS is really good.. I found some cute staples at jcrew online.. Zuilly is great too
  • Ingrid & Isabel has some great stuff, though pricy. I bought a pleated pencil skirt and it's the most attractive and stylish maternity piece I own.
  • I got some stuff at Pea in the Pod last week. I need pretty formal stuff for court, but I like to dress a little funkier than most.

I got a great black pencil skirt and black trousers from Asos. Been rotating them way too much with my existing blazers and tops (non-maternity, I just leave my blazers unbuttoned). I will say however, that I also got a pair of navy trousers from Asos that were terrible quality. I'm not complaining too much because the price was cheap and the other stuff made up for it, but just know that it's hit or miss.

For the rest, I just keep an eye out for looser, longer non-maternity tops from the stores I normally go to. I'm with you, Ann Taylor, Gap, Macy's, etc are all kinda meh, in my opinion... though they're okay for the more basic stuff.

  • I've bought some items from Seraphine to mix in with my other pieces for work. Tiffany Rose has some more formal pieces. Have you fished around on https://www.duematernity.com/designers.html? They have some designer items that might not be as easy to find locally.

  • I second the nods for ASOS and Ingrid & Isabel. 90% of my maternity clothes are from ASOS - they're very affordable, very chic, totally office appropriate. And I find a lot of their dresses and skirts pair nicely with my regular jackets. I really think my maternity wardrobe is going to wind up being cuter than my regular wardrobe!! Plus, since so much of it stretchy, I think it will be great for transitioning back to regular.
  • I'm repeating the same handful of outfits over and over. I see different patients every day so they don't know, and the office staff understands. I've also become more casual since not fitting anything, and everyone has been gracious about that, too. I've gotten a LOT of mileage from my ordinary bottoms with a belly band.

  • For all of you ladies that ordered from ASOS, was the sizing true to size or ran differently?

  • Destination Maternity has Pea in the Pod, always a good choice. Macy's has a good maternity selection from Pea in the Pod and Jessica Simpson. Also ASOS has great clothes on there.  Good luck!
