Does anyone else's MIL call your LO "my baby" as in their baby?!
Mine does this and it annoys the f*ck out of me. I want to scream at her "no, she is MY baby. I gave her life. I carried her. I birthed her. You had yours, this one is MINE." Also, "back off, bitch."
That's all. Vent over.

And for those who think it's sweet, I totally get it. I even tried to think the same in the beginning but after having her stay at my house 5 of the 6 weekends my baby has been born, I'm so over it.
And I think I've told you about how for the first few weekends, I'd awake to find my MIL standing in my room in the middle of the night just looking down at the PnP?! Weird, uncomfortable and way annoying. So I talked to her about it... but last night, she did it again. When I asked her what she was doing, she responded, "just waiting for MY BABY to wake up." Grr. And of course, the noise startled my LO and she awoke. I fake nursed her (since it had only been an hour since her last feeding) and to prove a point to MIL that this is my baby and to give us privacy so we can sleep!!! Good times.
Both my Mom and MIL have called DD "my baby" and it doesn't bother me at all. I agree with @SweetPeaK26 that they love her like they love their own kids. It's sweet.
Now, when my Mom snatches her from me instead of waiting for me to hand her over... That I have an issue with.
Welcome to the world Little Girl! Born on her due date! September 8, 2013, 7lb 11.8oz, 19.5" long.
