So hard...

That LO is my last baby and having to get rid of all their baby things. I always had a reason for keeping them but now I don't. I've started going through their clothes and getting rid of what I don't think is important to me. The biggest dilemma is a wooden bassinet that was made for DS2 and not sure if I should keep it or give it away. I'm not sure if DS3 will use it since he is so small that by the time he get the chance to use it he will be rolling and won't be able to use it. It's very big in size. I already have a bassinet that he is in right now and when he gets to big for that he will either go in the crib or pnp.

So would you keep it?

  • If it was handmade I would keep it and pass it down.

  • I would also keep it if you have the space for it. Your son may want it when he has kids it would be a nice piece to pass down.

  • Ditto! Keep and pass down!
  • I have a child's rocking chair that was my Dad 's. I was the last child so I had it in my room from birth until I was 18. My sister had a baby then and I passed it down. That baby is now 24. When I found out I was pregnant, all I wanted was that chair. It was finally found in her MIL's basement. A little oil soap and some TLC and it in LOs room now. And it is staying with this branch of the family from now on. Moral? You might be surprised that it will be precious to your son later.

  • My dad made lo a craddle. Even though she may be my only it will be kept and given to her for her children. I'm holding on to clothes just in case we have another.

  • LunarMagick79 I've held on  to DS1 clothes for 7 years and most of them have been handed down to DS2 and DS3. I still keep all their clothes, some get handed down if they are still in good condition.

I had a hand made cradle in my room most of my childhood. I used it to hold all my dolls and stuffed animals and loves it!
