i think i might have a record

DD has been awake for 27 hours with 2 one hour naps. And those were yesterday. She's 9 weeks. No fever, she's not miserable or cranky. She's eating, wetting and pooping normally. She falls asleep while nursing and we put her down and 5 minutes later she's crying. We've tried the mobile, swaddling, bath, swing, dim room, the ergo. Nothing is working. I can't do this again tonight! Help!

  • Have you tried white noise? DD gets knocked out in 5 minutes with the white noise on. GL! that can't be fun :(

  • Ugh no fun. I've been there! It eventually does get better. For DD it was just a phase. I had to let her sleep on my chest so I could get some rest. Hang in there!

  • I don't have any advice but will send some sleepy thoughts your DD's way!
  • Yikes!

  • Will she sleep on you? Maybe just stay in bed with her and let her sleep. I have to do that sometimes when I can't get mine to lay in his own bed.

  • So sorry for you!

  • Running the vacuum often works for my DS and I get my carpets done. Are you waiting long enough after she falls asleep before you put her down? Maybe let let snooze on you for a while before you try to move her. Good luck!!

  • Lo won't sleep unless I'm bouncing him in our dark bathroom with the blow dryer running - I must be standing not sitting. Were at 7 weeks and we just tried swaddling again (hated it for weeks) and it worked like a charm. Try things that didn't work before and maybe they'll work now. Good luck!
