We loved the mini. My daughter slept in it until she outgrew it at 5 months. (She is very big for her age). She slept there until her first feeding and then she stayed in bed with us. Now she starts in her crib and ends with us. I didn't feel comfortable co-sleeping until she was a couple months old so this made it so much easier for us. Next time around I may invest in a full size so he/she can start out close to us for longer. Best purchase!
We had the original with Callum - but it was kinda a fail as he still wanted to be with me so we ended up not really using it. I think it's an awesome option though if you are not comfortable with bed sharing but want baby right there.
Just to note since folks are talking about when they are outgrown - as soon as baby can pull up, all sizes are outgrown as co-sleepers, although you can convert the original to a pack and play and use it that way. So it's possible that it will be "outgrown" as a co-sleeper by 4-5 months.
If I could have changed something I would have gotten the full size instead of the mini. I felt he was outgrowing the mini by height pretty early on. I did use it until I was more comfortable with bed sharing. It was invaluable.
We used the Original for our twins and I would say it is a must-have! They slept in it together until about 3 months old, then we moved and it didn't really fit next to our bed anymore. We moved it downstairs and kept it for naps, etc.
Now we use as a playpen upstairs if I need a 'holding area' as I finish getting dressed or putting make-up on!
My LO is still sleeping in it now, she's 6 months old. We have the original size and it's really been a huge benefit having her not only in our room, but RIGHT next to me. I would highly recommend it. We are thinking about transitioning her to the crib soon, and it's breaking my heart to have her so far away from us in her own room.
We loved our cosleeper. We'll be using it again with LO2. However, when DD was born she would not let us put her down in it, or anywhere else for that matter. We had to hold her 24/7 for 2-3weeks. So we ended up bedsharing. It took until about 8-10 weeks to transition out of our bed and into the cosleeper. We definitely slept a lot better once she was in her own safe space rather than in bed with us. DD slept in it until she was 7months old. Unlike some of the PP,I would recommend the mini over the full size one. We have the mini, DD is 85th percentile in height and we moved her out at 7 months because she was starting to crawl and it didn't seem safe anymore at that point, but she still had a few inches left before she would have outgrown it in height. We moved her into a crib in her own room at that time.

My LO is a month old and we've been using ours since day one. We love it! I love that she is so close and I am able to check on her in the MOTN. It's so nice to not have to get out of bed to feed her, too! We had a couple of nights where she wouldn't let me put her down, but we've gotten used to it now. I will be sad when she outgrows it! I have no clue what I will do then!
