LO hasn't had any weight gain since 2 months old and as of right now he is failure to thrive. The Pedi has added one bottle of formula a day to try to help him gain, all of his other bottles are breastmilk. Well everyone keeps saying to add rice cereal to his bottles. The Pedi hasn't even mentioned anything about rice cereal or baby food. Now my mom wants to go with me to his next appointment and I now she's going to bring up cereal and baby food. I rather not give it to him just to make him fat. I would rather give him good calories not the bad calories from the cereal. I know that most of ya'll are saying not to give it to them, would be some good reason that I could tell people that he doesn't need it?

This one is geared more towards newborns, but it has some good points.

This is the one I check every month for reassurance. You'll have to scroll down to the 5-6month age.
