If you have a wicked mil you will appreciate this

DH and I decided I would stay home w LO now and I gave my resignation at work which feels incredible as this was not the plan. MIL thought she would be watching LO and basically played mind games w me for the last couple weeks playing stupid and asking when I was going back to work. I would sob. Well, she was informed that LO needs to be his mama and she is pissed. It's sad I feel this way but victory is mine! She is so so horrible to me so it feels great to know ill be w the babe, not her

  • Good for you. I am so sad I was tricked into thinking MIL watching our son for two months was a good idea. Now I realize how dumb that decision is. I will live vicariously through you and your victory.

We just decided I will be a SAHM too! I'll be sending in my resignation soon. My parents and ILs aren't malicious, but I still don't want them watching her, not until she's older. I'm feeling selfish. I want all the time I can with DD while she's still so little.

ETA: Go you! Way to stick it to the man (or MIL). ;)
  • I understand you feeling that way. I wouldn't call my MIL wicked, but definitely manipulative and annoying. DH and I had considered asking her to watch DD some if I go back to work, but her recent behavior has me questioning if I want to leave her unattended with my baby that much. Good for you!
