Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Tips to survive OB waiting room tomorrow?

A book?
iPod? (I probably wouldn't be able to hear my name called)

Phone?

I can't handle all of the "Fit Pregnancy" magazines. *sigh*

Or would you do something nice for yourself afterwards?

Hoping that my beta is down and I won't have to go back.

  • I try to put on my blinders - too many pregnant women - and either read a book or bury myself in my phone. Good luck!

  • for me its all about the mental preparation. seriously, you have to just stay focused and get in the zone. I dont let my mind wander AT ALL. if I do, its really hard to keep my composure. then when you get in the car all bets are off.
  • My tip for you is to NOT bring someone like your mother, or a person that would be very emotional.
DO however bring a girlfriend or someone who is bubbly and fun who will not feel so sad for you.

I brought my mom with me (boyfriend was out of town) and it was such a mistake. In the moments where I was feeling fine and not crashing emotionally she just kept crying. It was embarrassing and also made me feel guilty that I was not crying (though of course, I was sad!).
