DS is now a BIG Brother!!

I haven't been around the past few weeks, and it is because we just adopted a sweet baby girl!! DS is so in love with her, and is stepping into the role of big brother like he was born to do it. It is super cute! I was worried about the transition for him, but it has gone really smoothly, and we haven't seen an ounce of jealousy at all! I figured he would be at least a bit jealous of the new baby, because everyone talks about that, but I guess I should have know, not him. LOL

The funny thing about our story, that I wanted to share with you guys, is that one of the reasons that our profile was chosen, was actually because of DS's issues and our familiarity with special needs and therapy. Whodathunkit!

DD's bio 1/2 brother has ASD and her birth mom was looking for a family who was familiar with parenting a SN child, incase something would come up later on with DD. Never in a million years would I have thought that DS's issues, and the fact that we do therapy multiple times a week, would have actually made us MORE attractive as an adoptive family.
