Testing out the trigger

So I've heard several people on here who have done trigger shots talk about "testing out the trigger". I'm wondering if I should do this or not. If I'm going to, I need to order some Wondfos off amazon like now. So opinions?? Should I test it out or will it just drive me crazy? P.S. I will be on vacation for 4 days during my 2ww.

Re: Testing out the trigger

  • I have never tested out the trigger but, when I did IUIs (back in 2008) I didn't know that you could do that, etc. I wasn't very versed in all this TTC stuff.

Would I do it now that I know? Probably. I tend to test 10-11dpo (and that's being patient) So, if you don't think you can stand the wait then I vote yeah do it.

Otherwise you could get a positive and drive yourself crazy with is it real or not?

Then - what I call "the frenzy" happens. You'll pee on every brand of test ever put on this planet by man and your bathroom will only be lacking a microscope and beakers.

With all that said- I think the hardest part of testing out the trigger would be to see positives and know they are not real. If you can get past that....I'm sure it could be a mindgame.

good luck in whatever you decide and I hope you have a nice vacation :)

  • You don't have to test everyday to test it out. You can test once at day 5 or 6, and keep that stick for comparison, though it may very likely be gone at that point anyway, and you don't have to do anything else.

  • I've tested it out, and if you'll remember my last cycle's saga, I tested it out with Wondos - bfn 7dpiui, then tested again on 9dpiui with a Dollar Tree and got a "false positive" because the $Tree is apparently the world's most sensitive test known to woman. That being said, I'm on my way to the Dollar Tree to buy more to use to test out my trigger....I start testing 6dpiui and go until I get a negative. (Who am I kidding, I basically poas everyday from 7dpiui until stupid af shows!)
