Where to get medical allergy bracelet

What site do you recommend ordering from?  And what allergies do you put on there?  My daughter is 19 months and has grown out of a few (and added some) over the months.  Do you still write all of them on the bracelet even if they aren't "severe".  And will the bracelet be large enough to fit all of her allergies Stick out tongue

Thanks!

Re: Where to get medical allergy bracelet

  • we use allerbling just bc they are basically indestructible.
  • Loading the player...
  • https://www.petitebaublesboutique.com/ This where I got dd's.  On the front I put the peanut allergy b/c that is the one we are more concerned about.  On the back since she is only allergic to three things we put peanut, egg, and dairy.  Our in case of emergency number, and use epi call 911 for emergency.  You'd be suprised how much you can fit on them.  Oh, and her name is on there somewhere, lol.

  • we use one from medicalert.. it's metal and it's the only one he hasn't tried ripping off his hand.. i have a Velcro and a rubbery one and he hates them.  The medic alert one looks a little girly and i have had little kids come up and ask "why is he wearing a girl bracelet".. so hopefully once he starts school i'll get him a cool one.

i just booked marked this site this morning - https://www.hopepaige.com/product-category.aspx?ProductCategoryID=79&category=Top-of-the-Line

and yes, i do add even the allergies that aren't severe

also.. not sure if this will work since i can't see the pic myself.. i copied the code from my ipad.. so hopefully you can see it. this is the bracelet i have and how it looks.

  • RoadID, while not specifically designed for allergies, has several styles, including one that velcros onto a shoe. I only put drug allergies on my medic alert bracelet because I am not worried about being fed in a medical emergency, and the response center has my full food allergy info. For the kids, I don't have their food allergies on their person, just emergency medical contacts who know about the food allergies.
  • We just wrote "Acute Multiple Protein Allergy" and Anaphylaxis on it.  Mu husband made ours.  He is a titanium smith and titanium is the only hypoallergenic metal.  I didn't want to take any chances.

I just checked this out....love it!  And it makes it kinda fun.  Your son keeps it on no problem?

  • We use StickyJewelry.com.  They have a lot of styles to choose from.  I have the all metal ID for DS#3 and DS#2 likes the sport band.

We can fit all their allergies on their bracelets but if I couldn't I would consider using Medic Alert.  They keep a full file on your LO so if a Dr. has to call they have the entire medical history.  For us, I didn't think that was necessary.

  • We use RoadID too. Our son wears it everyday and it has our contact info as well. We have one for DD1 as well, but she won't keep it on quite yet.

  • We have used Allerbling since he was 3 and started preschool.  They are not, however, indestructable as I have replaced  a few charms and one bracelet in the last 6 months.  He is great about wearing it and has always been able to explain it since we started him with it....it is a great conversation starter.  It has room for 4 allergens and the medical alert charm which they strongly advise you to leave on.  We recently added sesame to his list and bought the charm, but opted to leave it off for now (he has eaten sesame for years and never reacted....his allergy testing indicated it).
