smelly gas

Hi, I'm mostly a lurker, but I have a question...

My LO turned 5 months yesterday and is exclusively breastfed. His bowel movements lately are almost always about 4-6 days apart. The pediatrician said this is fine at his age since he is breastfed. However, when he passes gas it smells like rotten eggs. Anyone else have a baby that has really smelly gas? I hope this is normal and not a sign of a digestive problem or something.

Same here. It is so stinky I sometimes blame DH. I guess it's all because I love cabbage.

Same, we always check her diaper because we figure with such a bad odor there should at least be poo! Nope...

We do this too. I am always shocked that it can stink so bad and not be more.

I find the longer between dirty diapers the worse it smells. Or, like @nykkolhooks said, if something I ate was gas inducing.

I've totally noticed that my gas and LO's gas smell very similar, too.

I've also noticed that more days without poop tends to mean smellier gas. Weird and stinky.

Don't get me started.... Seriously though, I don't eat any gas causing foods and ever since she started going weeks between poops her farts stink soooo badly. Even though she pooped last week we are still getting stinky farts. I used to check for a dirty diaper, now I never bother.
