DH made it home, I can now breathe!

My Dh is stationed in Hawaii and we collectively decided for our older daughters and I to move with family for the end of pregnancy because he is transferring a week after I'm due. I'd have been stuck in Hawaii with three girls to care for and recovering from a c-section. We purchased his ticket months ago for today and knew it was a gamble but didn't know what else to do with his leave time, etc. I have been having on and off contractions for weeks and I just kept praying she would wait!!! Now that he is here, I can relax and let things just happen. If all goes as "planned" I have a scheduled RCS for two weeks from today. LOVE being a family again! Military deployments are rough and we are no stranger to them. But to make the choice to be separate is much more difficult than we thought it would be. Thank you ladies for keeping me sane this whole time

It's been a looooooong three months!

So glad he is home!! I have nothing but admiration for military momma's like yourself who have to go through any portion of their pregnancy and parenting alone. Thank you both, for the service he has done and you for being his support!!

Thank you ladies, whenever he gets these compliments he always says, "I'm happy to do it!" He has been in 16 years and it's just normal life for myself and our kids at this point. I have the easy part....I get to live in new places and experience things I probably never would have! The real "heroes" in my opinion are the kids of military service members. I knew what I was getting in to, I made the choice to love him and stay faithful to him. Our kid's have to be without Daddy (or Mommy) for birthdays, school performances or just sad days. I am so proud of our daughters for being so flexible and well-rounded kids in spite of moving every two to three years.
