Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Anyone else?

Between the time change last weekend, and DS being sick with a virus this past week, I'm assuming there will be no sleeping in tomorrow. His sleep schedule is all off right now.  I suspect we're looking at about a 5am wakeup.  Sigh...anyone else?

  • LOL!  6am, 7am.  That sounds heavenly right now.  :)

  • This time change has LO waking up at 5 am instead of the usual 6 or 6:30 am.  I have forgotten what the word sleeping in means anymore.

  • Yep, she's now going to bed at the new time, but still waking up based on the old time.

  • DD is waking earlier too, but not a huge difference. I too despise daylight savings. It is awful
  • Is it terrible that I close DS's blackout curtains on the weekends, but I open them during the week so he'll be easier to wake up for daycare? :(  It's my only hope to get a little more sleep (or just time to myself) on the weekends and even though it sometimes only buys me 30 minutes, oh how lovely those 30 minutes are!!

This is DS.  It's slowly driving us crazy.  I need that extra hour of sleep in the morning!
  • DD normally sleeps til 8-830 but since the time change she's been waking at 430-5!!! Drastic change and I can't deal with it!

  • It's good to know other parents are still struggling with the time change. LO has been going to bed "an hour later" but his body is still waking him up at the same time, so he's getting an hour less sleep which is not fun. The 5 am mornings are starting to wear on me. Today's wake up time? 3:50. OMG. Also I haven't been able to stretch his nap to 11:00 like it was before...he pretty much zonks out at 10:00, and he's not a long napper either. Makes for a long afternoon!
