I despise getting dressed...(vent)

IDK about you ladies, but I have been so frustrated getting dressed in the morning. My bump isnt big enough for maternity tops, and my reg clothes are getting tight and make me feel gross. I have leggings and a long sweater on right now and it is the only thing I feel okay in. Too bad I only have one sweater long enough to wear with leggings though. I really don't wait to spend more money on maternity clothes but I'm kind of feeling that I have no choice at this point because I feel so uncomfortable in everything else.

    I understand. Maternity tops are still way too big but regular tops don't fit well. My regular jeans are on their last leg when normally buttoned. I've started wearing dresses with spanx underneath. The spanx round out my bump beautifully and the dress is so easy to wear.

    Why not do maternity pants and just get some tops on sale at target?

    I don't think I'm going to buy many actual maternity clothes... The styles today are just too easy to utilize in covering a bump comfortably!  Buy some great soft PICO tops, go to Old Navy or Target and stock up on tank tops that are bump friendly (Target has cheap maternity specified ones, ON just has ones that are longer and really stretchy), and then stock up on open faced sweaters/cardigans that will still be great for wearing when you're not pregnant next fall.

    Old navy maternity tops are super form fitting and stretchy. I'm a small in shirts pre-pregnancy and a size three in jeans and old navy's stuff fits me just fine-not too big at all.

    I know how frustrating that in-between stage is. I just felt... frumpy all the time. I was also making do with one pair of maternity jeans left over from my last pregnancy and hand-me-down tops. 

    Today I finally splurged a bit on clothes at Motherhood. It wasn't as expensive as I was worried it would be. For $150 I got two awesome pairs of dark wash skinny jeans and four cute tops. I know I can consign them after I am done with them and get a little of that money back. Anyway, I already feel soooooo much better.

    Anyway, why not go and try on a couple things and see how they look and feel? You might be pleasantly surprised and one new pair of jeans and a couple tops can go a long way. If your clothes are uncomfortable I definitely recommend giving some maternity clothes a try--super comfy!

    This has been me for a while so I bought some leggings and long shirts/ sweaters and I have been on them for a about a month.

    Maternity tops are too big, but I've made the switch to maternity pants...and am so glad!

    I'm kinda loving my little bump (most days) but I did get a skinny belt to help cinch my shirts in a little for the ones that are a little too big above the bump. I plan on looking for some long-sleeved sweater dresses or tunics to wear with leggings. Comfy and fashionable.
