AW: I got surprises when I came home from work

Kids had the day off today so hung out with DH. When I got home from work I was surprised with gifts! I had my level 2 ultrasound yesterday and we found out the twins are identical girls. That means I get an ultrasound every other week and starting in a few weeks I get a cervix check every week. It's stressing me out a little but hubby came through big time!

Congrats! My question though: why would having identical twins mean you need an ultrasound every other week? Or is it just routine with your dr?

They share a placenta so there can be twin to twin transfusion where one twin hogs the placenta. If this is happening then there are interventions they can do to stop it. That means an ultrasound every other week to monitor growth.

Definitely not looking forward to the cervix checks. When I was pregnant with DD I successfully avoided them until I was 41 weeks.

So sweet! I am, uh, a little easier to please. I came home from work to DH having made a trip to the grocery store, and was just so filled with love and gratitude that he bought me bacon and apple juice.

Seriously though, apple juice is a big deal. He drank the last of it yesterday and I almost cried. Give me all the apple juice!
