Clomid question

in Trying to Get Pregnant
I called my obgyn today to see if they offer monitoring along with clomid. The nurse told me that they don't use ultrasounds, but that they do monitor progesterone levels at certain points. Is that sufficient for "monitoring"? She said they only do u/s if you are having pain while on clomid. Thanks! Don't want to screw myself up!!:)

My Ovulation Chart
Me-30 PCOs  DH-32
April 2013-Came off BCP
Cycles1-3: 70+ days ending w/ Provera
Nov 2013: Dx w/ PCOs and started Pregnitude
Cycles 4-5: Cycling with Prometrium- Still no ovulation
Cycle 6: Finally O'd by myself on CD 29 (7 day LP)
Cycles 7-10: Late ovulation and short LPs
Sept 2014-Finally making an RE appointment! 9/24
10/1-began metformin; 10/16 HSG= All clear! SA= super sperm
Cycle 12: Nov 2014-2.5 mg femara + TI = BFN
Cycle 13 Dec 2014 2.5 mg femara + TI =?

    No. You need to have full monitoring. Progetsterone tests are not going to tell you if your lining is getting too thin or if you're developing bad cysts. Get yourself to a reputable RE!

    No, that is not sufficient monitoring. Just say NO to (unmonitored) drugs.

    Definitely see an RE instead. They will make sure you have all of the proper initial testing (CD3 b/w, HSG, SA) if you haven't done it yet and they will know how to treat you correctly. Good luck!

    How long have you been TTC? (Not sure if it's in your siggy, I'm mobile). That is not sufficient monitoring. I know a few ladies here who only found out they had a cyst on their CD3 monitoring u/s, so yeah, it's pretty important. Listen to @Milagros315, she is wise.

    That's what I thought, thanks! We haven't technically been "trying" yet because I haven't ovulated in 7 months since coming off birth control. Just trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with me!

    Have you just had one long 7 month cycle? Or, started over a few times with provera? How have you been detecting O? (Or lack thereof.)

    I have taken provera twice in that time. First cycle was was 80 something days, and 2nd cycle was 60 something. I'm currently on CD 40. I have been temping and using OPKs, all of which have confirmed that I have NOT ovulated. I was very regular (30-31 days) before taking Yaz... :(

    Side note/edit: My last cycle was 80 something days, not 60. Also, last cycle FF did show crosshairs, but it said that it could be from taking provera that my temp went up. I have had basically ZERO CM, so I can't track that, either..
