Short... Brenin Montgomery was born at 1:36am November 8th . 8lbs 2oz
Long... had contractions off and on all day Friday but they weren't consistent. At 8pm (ironically right after DH and I finished watching "whst to expect when you're expecting", I started having really strong back to back contractions. Called my mom to have her come over to watch DD so DH and I could go to L & D. Got there and got checked and was 5 cm. Just on Monday I had been 2cm so I was excited. They got me in to a room a little after 10 and I was asked if I wanted an epidural. I said I wanted to wait to see how far I could get then I would probably want one. I was checked an hour later and was 7cm so I decided on the epidural. They were waiting for my bloodwork checking my platelets (low all pregnancy) to make sure I would be able to get the epidural. As we waited the contractions were getting closer and way stronger. Finally the epidural guy came and he tried 3 times to get the epidural in but was not having any luck. Plus I was having horrible painful contractions the whole time. Finally the nurse called the dr. In and they checked me and I was 10 cm and ready to push. I was not prepared to do this naturally but I had no choice. The pain was indescribable. So intense and honestly, pretty terrifying. I only pushed for 10 minutes and he was out. Thank goodness!
I can't believe he's here. Big sister came up to see him this mirning and she was so cute with him. I just want to go home but we have to wait til tomorrow night. Time is going so slow and I think i have only slept a half hour in the past day and a half. But its totally worth it!
Good luck to all the other november moms!!!
