So she will bounce to mrs. Mack, or old McDonald, but little girl seriously freaks out and bounces to brickhouse and bootylicious and this song by taj mahal called "irresistible you". I didn't expect that. What songs do your LOs dig?
The hot dog song on Mickey Mouse clubhouse seems to be a fav! He loves music in general it seems. He's just started dancing lately. So cute! He also has a fav commercial / jingle. " go Goldie auto, go Goldie!" Lol
The King of the Hill theme song has been his favorite for soooo long. He used to roll to the tv, then crawl, and now he walks over when it's on. He also really likes the Bubble Guppies theme song, the Prius commercial song, any Johnny Cash or songs with lyrics in Spanish.
O can hear 2.5 seconds of a song and start dancing. The girl loves to dance. I guess this makes me a bad mom, but we've never played "kid" music around her. We don't let her watch TV yet so she really only hears music we play around the house or in the car. She really likes Bruno Mars.

I don't play kid music around LO. I can't stand some of it (read: all of it).
I am a HUGE music fan. I listen to an array of everything. I want LO to do the same. I have told myself when he starts talking and really 'listening' I will play edited versions of songs that have bad words so he doesn't repeat the bad words. Plus, when he's old enough to have an iPod we will have the 'these are just songs-don't take them seriously' talk.
We don't play kid music (nothing against it, but I just haven't bought any). I haven't noticed him being partial to any songs on the radio, but he likes when we sing "If you're happy and you know it" and "Patty cake."
Re: Lo's favorite songs
DH got him hooked on "Mahna Mahna" as well. It really does soothe the cranky baby.
Otherwise, he boogies to just about anything musical. If its a 'live' version, he will clap as well.
