to my fellow hairy mommas....

I went in and got sheared like a sheep today!!! I got my face and neck threaded. Not sure if you all are familiar with the process...

but my face is now FUZZ-free. The lady said, "look down"--- my black shirt was covered in blonde fuzz...all dignity was left behind in the shop.. but totally worth it!

    Sheared like a sheep..... that cracked me up!  The pregnancy hair for me has been horrible too!!!

     Our baby boy,Logan, was born still at 19w3d on 7/1/2011
    Our 2nd baby boy, Mason, was born still at 20w3d on 1/31/2012

     After a much needed sanity break... we are praying for our rainbows

    ((BFP 7/29/13))  ((EDD 4/12/14))  It's BOY/GIRL twins!!!

    I got my eyebrows threaded today! I'm very hairy other places but too lazy to do anything about it.

    hahahaha love this. What's more painful: threading or waxing? I always waxed but hate my life while doing so. Is threading any better? I feel like it would be just as tedious as someone plucking since it's pulling each individual hair.

    I like waxing better, but honestly it depends on who's doing it. I've had painful waxes, but the last time I had it done I didn't feel a thing. I ALWAYS feel the threading. But I also find they typically do a better job. My arch is more precise.
    I like threading for eyebrows...threading hurts worse for lip..and most definitely face BUT better for reducing the post-wax breakout and more sensitive skin!!!

    ^^ this. I'm only red a little bit after threading but stay red and get bumps with waxing. The eyebrows don't hurt that much but I got my lip done and it made my eyes water
    Mom to 10 year old DS and 7 year old DD. Twin girls coming soon!

    I get my brows, lip and "sideburns" waxed. BFF is my cosmetologist and she gave me the hint to take a couple tums about an hour before getting waxed. Helps with redness and irritation. Also, not that this applies now, but she does not recommend getting waxed for the week before your period.

    Lol I totally feel squatchy during this pregnancy! My hair is growing faster than I can keep up! I also have the not so happy trail. Tonight my hubby thought I had a dog hair on my lip and went to brush it away.. But it was ATTACHED TO MY FACE!! Horrifying!

    Hmm, now I'm tempted to try it. I love my brow gal but she's really far away and I saw a threading place nearer to me.

    And just to be an asshole on this thread: I don't grow armpit hair :p

    Update: my face looks great! My neck has a rash....it looks awful!!! Maybe it's just way more sensitive???

    Yes your skin is more sensitive, hence can lead to acne. In my case this is very true.

    My mom took me to get threading done on my eye brows she swears by it I did one and started crying and walked out I prefer waxing completely one shot and it's all gone especially my private parts I would hate to have to shave when I have a full belly when u can't even see ur feet!!!

    I've always been a hairy beastie but def feeling more like a wookie than ever lately, it's so bad!! Looking into electrolysis after the baby comes, I can't take it anymore haha

    Threading is wayyyy more painful IMO. But I like the outcome way better.

    I agree with @Sisimama10. Threading does a much cleaner job, but it is tedious and a little more painful than waxing. Everyone is different though. My eyes were watering all over the place but my SIL didn't think it hurt at all.

    I am super hairy and I give thanks to my dad, my mom has like 5 hairs everywhere my dad on the other side is like chewbacca and so was I! and being pregnant, hair is growing where it has never beforeeeeeeeee ughhhhh.

    I was doing laser on my armpits but had to stop because of being PG but waxing has been my way to go the threading to me it painful!!! Waxing its painful too but they take the hair faster and in one stroke the opposite of threading
