If your LO isn't in daycare or preschool yet, indicate what you're anticipating. If you don't feel comfortable answering, that's totally fine - I'm just wondering what's typical.
How much do you pay for daycare/preschool? 80 votes
I voted wrong - should have voted under $50. The MDO program I plan on putting her into starting in January is $85/month for 1 day. When she turns 2 she will go to their preschool which is $62/month 1 day per week.
Good to know. We are looking at an awesome preschool center that is $250 a week, which is on the expensive side for schools in our area. I didn't know if that was unheard of or not.
If jack was there five days a week it'd be $465/week. He's only there one day a week though so it's $93/week. We don't pay my dad for when he watches Jack the other day I work.
Thankfully the prices go down when he goes into the next room. And there's also a federal government rebate of 50% of your childcare costs up to $6000pa per child...
We don't have her in daycare, but we have a babysitter/nanny. Our schedules are different every week so the hours vary as well. We pay $12/hr though and sometimes we are gone 10 or more hours on some days. It sure adds up! Unfortunately putting her in a daycare center would not work for us as we work weekends and evenings sometimes as well.
