Today feels like it's gotten pretty intense on October '13. And it seems like we're all feeling overwhelmed or guilty about something. I thought maybe the Wolfpack could use something a little lighter. SO...what are you looking forward to for this weekend or the coming week? What was something that went well/you enjoyed this past week? (Newborn cuddles and smiles don't count for these.)
Looking forward to: My cousin who I grew up with is visiting from overseas. She's only here for dinner tonight, but I'm really happy we'll get to catch up and she'll get to meet my kids. Also looking forward to the long weekend. We're going to Manhattan on Sunday and I'm just hoping that we'll do some fun activities as a family.
Went well this past week: I was really scared about being on my own with both kids all day Tuesday and half of Thursday because DD1 can be such a handful and doesn't listen. Instead, I feel like I'm really reconnecting with her and even though it's tiring (and I didn't do things so perfectly) it's really fun being with her and hearing the funny things she says and the cool things she does. Pregnancy was tough on me and I really missed out on things with her.

DD1: born 1/19/11. DD2: born 10/10/13
Re: What are you looking forward to?
ETA: what went well this week was that we met with an LC and having been weaning off of the nipple shield successfully!
This past weekend I dyed my hair and got it trimmed. Just doing that gave me some alone time and made me feel like a person again.
This week we haven't had to do anything since Monday, so we've just been relaxing at home and it's been nice. Sometimes I feel like I get to worried about house cleaning, cooking and so on, plus pumping, feeding and messing with the dogs, I feel like I don't get enough quality time with LO. So this week I've really made time to just cuddle with her!
And Christmas. I am decorating next week and I cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!
And, I have a hair appointment scheduled for next week and I'm excited to have a "style" for the holidays since my last cut is all grown out and shaggy looking.
What went well? Picked DD1 up from school yesterday and took her this morning. Both without incident. I feel like I can handle being a mom to 2 kids better than I thought. And, DD1 has been so sweet to her baby sister and even held her hand in the car the other day when she was crying. I was so worried she would be jealous and resent the baby, but she has been incredible. I am so proud of her and love my little family so much!
This week Jace had his one month appointment and gained decently. He's in 50 th percentile which makes me happy that it shows he's eating ok.
Yesterday we visited my SIL and her LO is 7 Days younger than my LO. So we went through pregnancy together and we got to catch up yesterday and it was great. And I got out of the house!
BFP: 1.19.2013 - EDD: 10.2.2013 - It's a girl! 9.25.13: Welcome Addison!
Took A with me to my sister's work place and got an amazing (and deeply discounted) haircut last week. With the deep moisture treatment my hair feels amazing. Every trip to the store (any store!) has been a success.
