Induction Acupuncture

Anyone ever try it?  I'm scheduled for my first visit next Thursday.  I've read a bunch of stuff online, but just wondering if anyone has any experience with it.

    Yep, I did it right after 40w1d. It didn't work.

    Me:27, DH:28 - DX: MFI, varicocele repair Nov 2011 
    Post-Op SA: Count- 15 million, Motility- 75%, Morphology- 3% 
    IVF with ICSI - Stimming 10/4/12 - 10/13/12, Lupron Trigger
    ER 10/18/12, 12 eggs retrieved, 8 mature, 5 fertilized
    5 day transfer 10/23/12, 3 frosties
    Beta #1 11/5/12: 453, Beta #2 11/7/12: 1,013, DD born 7/19/13

    I did it in conjunction with induction massage. Did not work for me either. I had to be induced the regular way at 41w2d (low fluid). I did it several times over a 2 week period. Still no dice.

    IVF #1 ET 1 d3 embryo 10/30/11 BFP
    3 Embryos frozen (1 d5, 2 d6)

    DS born 07/29/12

    FET #1 ET 1 d5 embryo 02/10/15 BFN

    FET #2 1 d6 embryo didn't survive thaw, transferred last d6. CP :(

    Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.  I had a feeling it was too good to be true ;)  

    Oh well, at least it will be an hour of relaxation if anything.

    It worked for me for A in coordination with a lot of walking. My water broke the night after acu treatment.

    Not as much luck with this most recent baby, but the induction did go really easily and I think the acu helped.
    IVF, acupuncture, meditation and a miracle.

    I did it at 38w4d and went into labor 2 days later.

    I'm chickening out on the whole c-section thing.  I'm willing to try anything to get him here early with the hopes of avoiding one!

    Is your doc willing to test for lung maturity and induce perhaps even prior to 39 weeks? 

    Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

    Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

    I did this in combination with acupressure and whole bunch of supplements my doula gave me and nothing really "worked."  And I did EVERYTHING to get him out--sex, walking, dancing, even castor oil (DO NOT TAKE CASTOR OIL IT WAS MISERABLE). I was still induced with Pitocin 11 days after my due date.  HOWEVER, when I checked into the hospital prior to being induced I was already 90% effaced and at 2 cm, which everything thought was great.  Who knows what that was attributed to though.

    u/s at 6w1d, saw one beautiful heartbeat, a strong 172 bpm! Can't wait to meet our baby blob!

    She said she should could maybe try to pull some strings since I have gestational diabetes and try for 38 weeks.  She did say that they are pretty strict about not taking the baby before 39 weeks unless it is 'absolutely medically necessary' (Bear told me that too when I was pregnant with my second).  I'm going to talk to her about it again at my growth scan on Wednesday.
