First cycle after miscarriage/D&C

Hello,

This is my second miscarriage and D&C, but I don't remember how I felt the first cycle after this. It has been a month since my D&C and have been experiencing really bad PMS symptoms for the last week. These are mostly physical: severe cramping in uterus and heavy body aches, especially in my feet and back. I finally started spotting yesterday, but don't feel like the heavy bleeding is going to start anytime soon.

A few questions:

  1. What were your PMS symptoms like during the first cycle after your miscarriage/D&C?
  2. How long did it take you to get your first period after your miscarriage/D&C?
  3. Did you experience any severe pain after a month or more after the miscarriage/D&C?

    Just got AF after my second D & C. My PMS symptoms were roughly the same as my other periods. Not much cramping, honestly, but definitely moody. You might call your OBGYN about the pain if it's severe. How are your cramps normally (like, before trying to conceive)? Are they usually bad? As far as time to get your period after a D & C, it took about 5 weeks the first time and 6 weeks the second time. I don't know if that's at all helpful to you. I'm so sorry that you're going through this.

    Thank you for writing. I'm sorry for you losses as well. My PMS symptoms are usually bad, but not normally as bad as this. Thankfully, the severe body aches seem to be diminishing. I hope this all returns to normal soon.
