14 wks- how often are you feeding?

My boy is eating about every 1:45mins, 2:45 apart at night. When I pump I only get about 2oz so I figured that's why he eats so often, not getting a ton?
Wondering if that is similar to others out there...thanks for your input/stats!
Also I think there is a major growth spurt happening, eat sleep cry eat sleep cry seems to be our only schedule....

@13 weeks, he eats every 2-3 hours during the day and 3-4 hours at night. I can pump about 5-6 oz total every 4 hours.

My daughter is 11 weeks. During the day she eats every 3 hours and sleeps through the night. I usually get 5 oz each breast when I pump.

@ 12 weeks he eats b/t 3 & 4 hrs. By bottle it's 4 oz breastmilk. Less than 10 mins at the breast, one side only. At night he goes about 4-5 hrs. Never longer than 6.

My LO is 14 weeks and is going through a growth spurt so eating every 1.5-2 hours during the day but sleeping 7-8 hours then 2-3 more at night. I pumped of 5oz this morning from the side she didn't feed from overnight and there was still plenty for her morning feed.

@kaylareh how old is your LO? Pumping isn't an indication of how good your supply is. Pumping only uses suction. Feeding uses baby's jaw to manipulate the nipple and tissue as well as sucking. Plus they often massage the breast while feeding which causes more milk while suckling.

Frequent feeding could be a growth spurt. How long does he feed? Do you offer the opposite side as well?

Every baby is different. He may eat small frequent meals instead of larger meals.

D is 13.5 weeks and eats every 2-3 hours during the day, but only once at night. He will sleep 7-8 hours, eat, then ~3 more. Usually 4-6 oz each time.

LO is 14 weeks and eats every 2.5 hours during the day and actually goes 10 hours at night (pediatrician is okay with this).

The boys are 4.5mo actual, 3mo adjusted. They eat 6x a day, at roughly 700, 1030, 130, 430, 730, 1000 (dreamfeed). They are bf and put themselves on this schedule. I just followed their lead.

Thanks everyone for input! He has been on every hour and a half schedule since the beginning, hoping he starts going longer at night...
I EBF and was only pumping for a one day event I had to be away, my husband was stoked when I got 2.5 oz one time! I take fenugreek and don't pump now and can't decide about going back to work since I don't have "extra" to stock up. Don't feel like I am producing enough to spare, want him to get all that he needs!

That's how much I get if I don't feed off them. I'll probably get 2oz an hour after feeding. I don't pump after an hour though since he'll have to eat in another hour or so.

As far as pumping for your stash (and to increase your supply) I have been pumping after LO eats. In order to increase my supply I pumped after every time LO ate for a couple weeks (it is inconvenient, I know). Now I only pump after he goes down for the first time at night and after his first middle of the night feeds. It is easier because he is asleep so I don't have to worry about entertaining him while I pump also, he tends to go longer between feedings at night, so my breasts have some time to "refill" before he is hungry again.

At 15 weeks she eats every 2-2.5 hours during the day and sleeps through the night. Although today she went four hours at daycare, they feed on demand and she napped most of the day.

LO is 12 weeks and takes 5-6 feeds a day. He sleeps from 11pm to 830am. He normally takes his feeds at 830am 1130am, 2pm 5pm 730pm and 1030:11pm( His schedule not mine)If I pump after a feed I usually get 5oz. But as pp said pumping isint a good indication of how good your supply is.

LO is 13 weeks tomorrow. She eats 4-3 oz bottles while I'm at work from 7:45-5. She will nurse 2 more times when I get home from work before bed, sleeps 8:45-5am and nurses again after she wakes up.

Thank you all for this thread. It was really helpful for me to read the range that your LO's are in. Mine is the same - every 2.5-3 hours during the day. At night he was sleeping from 8:30pm - 6:30am but just this week started getting up either once or twice per night to eat.

I've been pumping for 10 minutes or so after as many feeds as I can during the day to try to increase my supply. Not sure that I need to really increase but I'm hoping to build up more of a stash.

OP dd eats every 45 to hour but only for 5ish minutes one side only. This is tru pretty much since a month old and she is 3 months. She's just a snacker. She is gaining fine. While I'm away she has been holding out but manages to eat 6 oz while I'm gone 9 hours. I think she just likes the booby. She's gaining fine

15 Weeks today (ahhh!) and during the day he eats every 2-3 hours. At night he sleeps for 6-7 hours straight, feeds, and is up after another 3 hours. He usually gets 8 fedings a day, 4oz bottles each.

Quick question for all you pumpers. I just started back at work and now am pumping 4 times a day (once before I leave and three times at work). I had only been pumping about once every day or two before to build a stash. Now my nipples are getting sore. I have my PISA on the lowest setting. My question is will my nipples get used to it or could something be wrong? They are not cracked or anything, just tender when pumping.

12 weeks. Bottle he takes 4 oz every 2-3 hours. He wakes to eat at night every 2 hours. Usually eats about the same during the day. He nurses for about 7-8 minutes usually.

They get used to it. I also use some lanolin everynow and then if they're particularly sensitive.
I've gotten to the point where I'm comfortable now at a higher setting.

Piper eats every 2-3 hours. She's 12 weeks old. At night she sleeps from 7pm-4 or 5am. Then she gets up and eats again and is down from anywhere between 1 - 3 hours.

Nora is a BIG sleeper and has been since she was born. She has always been very consistent and eats every 3 hours during the day. At night we usually get one 6-8 hour stretch which is awesome. I was at a BF meeting this week and weighed her before and after a feeding, she took in 3.2oz in about 10 minutes. Normally when I pump I get between 5-8oz, depending on time of day.
