anyone else know this is their last baby?

I'm starting to think about getting a tubal or essure. This is def a last baby. A tubal would be easier if I had a section and they just did it while they were in there. But if I have a vaginal birth I have no idea when or how that all goes about.

Anyone else on their last and do you have plans for how you're taking care of the birth control thing afterward?

This is going to be our last. My husband is going to get a vasectomy. He is actually pretty agreeable to that being the long term BC solution, but he for sure is going to be a baby after the procedure.

Our last one was supposed to be our last. Unfortunately we didn't do much to prevent. So this one is our last.

I'm thinking about doing a tubal, I meant to ask my doc about it today, but forgot.

I'm about 80% sure that this will be our last. Due to the 20%, we won't be doing anything permanent at this point. We will decide when this baby is about a year old. DH will be getting a vasectomy. We've already discussed it.

This is our last for sure. Financially 2 is better for us and I don't want to put myself through any more ivf cycles. Even though I have 3 frozen embryos.

No bc for us. I already don't have tubes.

we're pretty sure this is our last, but probably not sure enough to do anything permanent yet. Ideally, once we know we're done, MH will get a vasectomy.

This is our first and last. We are only having one child. We'll decide afterward how to proceed. I take BCP for endometriosis and will probably continue doing that. But DH has talked about a vasectomy.

This will be our last. Both of us are getting to old. Ha. I think DH is holding out hope I will have a c- section and they can just take care of it then. I thought about that essure, but then saw a recent consumer report on our local news of large number of women who had terrible side effects.

We are 95%. I am planning to get a 5 year IUD so we will be 100% sure when we do something final. I am thinking of just getting "fixed" since I am having a repeat c section.

This will be our last, and that's what we said about our second so we're definitely done! Hubby is getting a vasectomy. Much less invasive and heck, I have to do the child-birthing part, it's the least he can do!

#2 was suppose to be out last. Got a BFP the week before my scheduled tubal. Oops

Please look in and research Essure. Originally it was the route I was going to take until I started to further my research. Most woman suffer terrible pain afterwards. Insurance doesn't cover having it removed, so these woman were paying thousands of dollars out of pocket, and traveling to other states to get it removed.

Our twins were our "last"and here we are...if I have a repeat c/s I'll have a tubal(seems do crazy after years IF) otherwise dh will get a vasectomy

We aren't 100% sure yet. I'm going thru this pregnancy as if its my last just in case because this one has been difficult and I don't know if I want to go thru it all again, and I don't know if we can financially afford a 4th (3rd bio). Hubby doesn't want to be an older parent and while we have just 2 years till we are 30, we won't make a permanent decision until we are both around 34 leaving us the option to have another one if we want one more after this. Our luck it would be twins lol.

Interesting about the Essure. I'm leaning more towards a tubal anyway. My H won't get a Vasectomy because he is a practicing Taoist and that is messing with essential energy. I love him dearly so I try not to roll my eyes. He really really believes it. He'd rather not have sex again than get snipped. So, since I'd like to have a sex life again I'm fine with taking this on. I feel like I hear horror stories about IUDs and I can't take hormone birth control pills because of my liver. Hmmm. I'm def going to make sure I do research on essure so I can decide if it is even a viable option, sounds like maybe no.

I'm pretty sure this is it for us. I was up in the air about another , but this pregnancy has been hard so far and I'm really not sure I want to do it again. I'll be getting an IUD so we can be 100% sure when we decide and DH will get snipped at that point.

We hope to have more but have already discussed when we are done H will get a vasectomy. Generally the same reason as everyone else, simply much less invasive.

This is definitely the last baby I will carry in my womb.....

If for any reason I am having a C-section, I would handle it then. If not, we may examine Essure or DH may get a vasectomy....we are planning to cross those bridges around LO's birthday.

We feel like this will be our first and last, because we only want one. I'm an only child and I had a great childhood, whereas DH had an older sister and feels like he was bullied a lot (he is a moaning drama queen though). However, we're still young at 27 & 29 so we might change our minds and wouldn't want to have scuppered our chances of conceiving again.

We are 99.9% sure this is our last. I will likely get an IUD for a couple years, just in case we change our minds. Then DH will get snipped. When I first made the vasectomy suggestion years ago, he seemed resistant. But I told him it was the least he could do after me carrying and birthing two children. Now he happily tells people that will be our long-term solution.

Um, yeah. My youngest was going to be my last. This was a total and complete surprise. My hubby will be getting a vasectomy sometime during this pregnancy so we don't find ourselves in this situation again. I was on the pill and he was going to get snipped after the holidays, too late!

This is our last. Dh refuses to get a vasectomy so I'll take permanent measures. I don't know what yet, but I plan on discussing with my doctor Monday. I'm hoping they can do it right after baby is born. I hate the pill, condoms and iuds so I'd love to get fixed right away.

We're not sure yet if we'll be one and done or not. DH and I are both only children and while I've always imagined having 2, I think DH is more comfortable with the idea of 1. It wasn't easy conceiving this one and DH is 37 so he's a bit worried about being "too old" for another (I'm 30 so it's not a concern for me just yet). We've agreed to wait and see how we feel. When we do decide that we're done, DH has already volunteered for a vasectomy.

Ugh DH just informed me that our hospital probably will not do a tubal as it's a Catholic hospital. Damn.
