First, I am so sorry for the break in the check-in. I guess I needed a breather after my last BFN and never really meant to it just sort of happened. I spent an hour or so combing posts and tried to get all the updates in below. PLEASE check your update on the list and correct anything that is wrong. We had our WTF after failed FET#2 - my first ever total BFN. We did a quick in-office hysteroscopy for fun (well, not fun, but it was a 'well why not?' since my insurance deductible is SO totally met) and my uterus looked fabulous. That was reassuring.

We decided not to mess with protocol because my estrogen levels have always been great, lining great, and I did carry to 16w using progesterone suppositories (vs. PIO) and there were no issues. At this point, I don't want to change something and then always wonder if that was why it didn't work (if it doesn't work, that is). My RE seemed to feel all was well and we have no reason to expect a BFN...it is a numbers game after all. So FX.

We also discussed what next - honestly, I'm not sure I'm done and yet I'm not sure how much more we can take. I am considering a frozen egg cycle through my clinic (I can even use my same egg donor, I have a clutch of her eggs reserved!) but out of pocket would be around $10K I'm guessing as I've met my lifetime maximum for IF after this FET. My wife still has a chunk left and likely we can charge a chunk to hers - but the cycle is $18K out of pocket so that would be worst case - and I am just finally paying off our DE fresh cycle 1 year later as of next month!! Seriously. I was so happy to be 100% debt free outside of house and car payments. So we'll see...maybe this one will work, but I feel better knowing there are options and it doesn't HAVE to be over.

QOTW: In light of that last paragraph, I wouldn't mind if everything I touched turned to gold . But, I think if I could have an honest super power, I'd maybe go with one I saw on the show Heros before it got too hard for me to follow - one character could imitate anything she saw someone else do. So, if someone played a piano concert, she could do that; if they built a house, she could do that. It would be cool to be able to be good at ANYTHING!

Hello Ladies,

I haven't posted in several months, but I have been stalking the board to keep up with everyone's cycles. Stinkerbell, I am so crazy excited for you! Anywho, here's my update.

October 7th my blood pressure shot way up. I called the OB to see if she would increase my meds, and after a quick appointment in her office I was sent to the hospital for bloodwork and a 24 hour urine catch. 24 hours later I learned that not only was I not going home, I had preeclampsia. My platelet levels were dropping daily, and although our son was not in immediate danger, I was quite sick. October 10 they made the decision to induce me in the afternoon. I was still completely in denial and terrified of having a preemie. After a 16 hour induction, we welcomed Austin Hale into the world at 4:07 AM on 10/11. He spent 12 days in the NICU and came home 10/23. He is very healthy and has no respiratory issues. Our mission is to put some meat on his bones as he is 5 pounds and 19 inches long. He was born 4 pounds, 4 ounces, so we have already made some good strides.

Right now I wish I had a super power to clean my house and keep it that way. It may seem like a silly thing, but I live for order and no clutter.

Hi everyone! I am working on completing the pre-reqs for don't egg recepients at RBA, debating doing some optional testing for DH, and trying to be patient until my consult. I'm not sure what super power I would want, at this point probably just the power to not feel stressed!

I'm pretty darn excited that I'm finally going to cycle. It's surreal. 2.5 years. Estimated transfer is around week of December 10th. I'm not sure how I like the idea of it being around Christmas if it doesn't work but I CAN'T imagine waiting another month

I would love to have the power to fly at the speed of light. It would be pretty cool to fly around to another country to see my relatives and friends in other parts of the state and not waste time on an airplane. Speed of light..is that what I'm looking for? lol

Communicating with animals is another one that would be neat. I always wonder what my cat really thinks of MH!

@BeckyP005 - I'm so glad you didn't get delayed until January! Last year, our transfer was on December 11th - and this year, it's December 5th. It was fun to be newly pregnant at Christmastime last year! And, had I not been, there woulda been plenty of wine around to drown my sorrows in...fwiw.

Hopefully we will have babies super close together next August and dress them in little Steelers outfits next fall!

afm, nothing really happening except for waiting here. big appointment on november 5th for all four of us and the RE. i am working overtime on a nsf proposal and mh is working a ton of hours too, so we are keeping our minds off of the waiting.

Hi ladies, I saw my name under "waiting to cycle" and it made me a bit nervous. It looks like we're going to do RBA's 5 cycle live birth DE guarantee. There's no way I'm actually doing 5 cycles but you can quit at any time and its a sliding scale on money back. After. Lot of thought, I would like to wait until the lab reopens in January to cycle. We're not telling anyone this time and if we transferred 12/17, Christmas will be hard for me. I wear my emotions on my sleeve and won't be able this. I'd also get jumped on if I wasn't drinking and I don't want to draw attention to myself. I "should" get access to the donor database by the end of the week. Congrats Indiana on your son. Glad he is doing well despite his early arrival.

Update: It is amazing how quickly everything is moving along now. I failed my 1-hour glucose test (not a surprise at all, but still a bit frustrating). I take my 3-hour on Wed so hopefully I can pass that one. I finally seem to have my BP under control and little man is growing like crazy and moving and kicking up a storm. I still have a hard time actually believing it is real and keep waiting for someone to "catch me" faking this. I don't think the infertility brain ever leaves....

I had my first shower yesterday which was really nice. It was good to see a lot of my family that I don't get to see much and won't be able to see this Christmas due to travel restrictions so it was good to have everyone there.

QOTD: Fertility isn't a superpower, is it? (although my sister might dispute that..). Hmm, I would love to be able to stop time. I need a nap...lol.

And even though I don't always address everyone directly, I am frequently checking in and rooting for all of you! it is about time we had another string of successes so hopefully we can have a lot of happy Christmas news this year!!!!

Hi all. I am hoping stinkerbell's good news is going to kick off a long steak of successes for the board.

Today is my third day on stims. I had my first in-cycle blood draw this morning, and my estrogen levels look like they expected, so I am continuing on the same dosage. Thank goodness, I just got it figured out and am not anxious to give myself opportunities to make mistakes.

I always said I'd want telekenesis, moving things with my mind. But so many options sound good! Teleportation? The muscle-memory one 2Mamaz mentioned? Healing or strength would make me feel safer all the time, which would be nice.

Hello! I am sorry I am not very active but I do read / learn a lot! I always want to post more but work / life have been a bit crazy lately. Wishing everyone the best!

I am currently on estrogen patches & small lupron dose each day. I have a tentative lining check on 11/5 and tentative transfer between 11/11 and 11/19. We are using California conceptions DE/DS pgm.

As for super powers, I like the cleaning super power idea! I would love to be able to keep up with cleaning my house better! I also wish I had the power to make IF go away so no one had to experience it or experience loss in any way! IF stinks & I wish it didn't exist.

Wow! So much news! Fx crossed for everyone! Well I POAS (clear blue week estimator) and showed I am still pregnant, so just hoping for good numbers tomorrow. Still nervous but if things are ok tomorrow then I want to tell my mom, BFF and SIL's. they would be my support if anything went wrong. My super power..ummm. Flying so I can visit more friends and family! Never enough time or money to see everyone as much as I'd like.

Loving all the updates! Good luck to everyone about to cycle or are currently.hugs to those waiting around like me... I know it feels like forever but the holidays will be long gone before we know it and 2014 will be here so we can all start anew.
AFM: having a good weekend with a girlfriend here to visit. DH is out of town for a week and I have all of this week with my pups and a quiet house.
Hysterscopy is nov 5th and hopefully tomorrow my dr will call and let me know if my Hcg levels are zero at this point. I sure hope so because I need some wine. After the methotrexate shot your not suppost to drink until your numbers are zero so I've been holding off.
Qotw: I always loved that show Girl meets world and she would put her fingers together and freeze time. I always wished I could do that!

Feeling very indifferent this time - excited for the possibility but nervous for the bad news we could possibly get. It's funny...was talking to husband the other day about it and said "it's not the loss that I get sad about now but remembering the feeling of our utter sadness and disappointment.." Hard to explain. Anyways - prayers and thoughts for all.

Hi everyone! I am excited about everyone making plans to cycle in the next few months. We're all going to hop on the pregnant bus together, I feel it!

AFM: Nothing much to report as I wait to transfer on Weds. If my clinic knows it's going to be a 5dt they don't even do the 3-day check (they say it's better to keep the embies in the incubator) so I won't have an update until I get there Weds. a.m. This makes me a little nervous but my rational mind keeps telling me that out of 24 we'll almost certainly have at least a few left by day 5. The problem is I've been on the wrong side of the odds before. IF mind. Sigh.

Check in: We had a meeting with a potential carrier yesterday and it went AWESOME! Her and her husband were fantastic and we had pretty much the exact same feelings on the big issues. She seems like a perfect fit for us and she is pretty close (only about 2 hours away). The agency is going to get the ball rolling today with getting her medical testing done. I'm so excited. We might actually (finally!) be making progress towards having a family.

QOTW: It's kind of lame, but I would love to have unlimited motivation. I'm scared of heights, so flying is out, I definitely don't want to see the majority of people I come in contact with naked (so no x-ray vision)...I would just love to be my own "Wonder Woman" at home - cooking dinner all the time, doing crafty projects and scrapbooking, working out on a regular basis.

We are in the TWW with our 3rd DIUI. Fingers and toes crossed on this one!! It's going to be a long 2 weeks. I have been really stressed and am doing all that I can to try and relax, my goal tonight is to take it easy.

Super power- I would really love to be able to read minds and arrive somewhere instantly. How great would it be to just snap your fingers and be at work, an event, etc and not see in traffic!

@Healz413 and I are currently waiting to cycle.

With our next cycles I am going in for a sono and will start the BCP to synch our cycles. H has been on the BCP and will start stimming around Nov 21. We are expecting our ER to be in early December. We are currently still needing to decide about a donor.

We have frozen sperm we have used before already for the iui cycles, but we are seriously considering a new donor who looks a bit more like me, as we will be using H's eggs for any pregnancies now...

Of course all of this depends on my sono being clear and the cycles synching as they should... Plus I keep trying to offer H an option to take the fresh transfer herself instead of giving it to me, I want her to feel lots of freedom to have the best shot at this if she decides she wants that. Though sometimes I think my consistently reminding her she can change her mind is hard for her too!

So much uncertainty. I feel like there is so much that can go wrong... bah!

AFM, still waiting for AF to show her ugly face (I think I'm on CD 50...ugh), but I think I'm going to have to call my RE soon to get a script for Provera...why isn't anything easy??

QOTW: I would definitely want my super power to be an ability to see my future, as least where it relates to IF. For example, if I was guaranteed to have a baby (or two) I would not regret any of the procedures I've done so far. It just sucks not knowing....especially since we're still paying off failed cycles.

AFM - I had my baseline Friday and I was shocked because even without a period, my lining was thin and my e2 was low so I was cleared to get started! I'm on my third day of estrace and already feel better without the stupid Lupron headaches. Hotflashes, on the other hand, can suck it. I still have them. BAD! I wish I could just fast forward to beta after all is said and done. The waiting and going through the motions is tiring and I'm less excited than I am anxious this time.

Wednesday is the EDD of our first m/c angel baby. I'm having kind of a hard time as that day approaches, but I feel like after this month I'll be able to put it behind me. Who knows?

QOTD - I wish I could tell the future! I think it would make IF a little more bearable if I knew there was a finish line in sight somewhere.

Update: I am waiting to have more b/w at the end of November. Recap: after my m/c I had b/w done that showed positive for Lupus Anticoagulant (LA) and Protein S deficiency. I had repeat b/w done towards the end of Sept and it showed negative for both. The difference? I still had hCG in my blood from the pregnancy on the first one and I guess it can cause false positives on Protein S. So they've officially ruled out Protein S but I need to be tested again for LA. The doctor said they may have me, if I cycle again, be on some kind of blood thinner anyway. If I do cycle again it will be early 2014.

QOTW: I always wanted to be invisible, so I guess that would be my super power. I don't know why really. Just thought it would be cool!

Update: We have cosen a donor, she is currently donating this November. She has to her wait 1 month in between cycles which means she will be ready to get everything started in December for a January Egg Retrieval. This feels so far away, considering we have to do pgd, freeze all and do an FET. I'm guessing FET February.

Love all of the updates today!! I am currently on low dose Lupron & strated the Estrace yesterday. My FET will be Nov 13th! It feels so far away but I am enjoying the acupuncture in the mean time.

I am pretty nervous about everything and a bit afraid to get my hopes up. I had a nightmare that the little frosties didn't thaw properly. So now I am paranoid!

I'm so late! I have needed a little time off and also, things have been absolutely crazy around here.

DW and I got a bfn this cycle after trying 4 at home ICI's. This was our last cycle trying on our own and we are now taking a small break while we see an RE and work with our acupuncturist to regulate my cycle. While we are excited to get some testing done and get some answers, it is really hard to take time off. We're looking at this as a good thing and going from there.

Update: I started my first IVF cycle with stim meds on 10/29 with an expected retrieval on Nov. 10th or 11th with a possible transfer date of Nov 15th or 16th. Getting positive responses from my blood work and ultrasounds. I have 17 follicles right now and I'm just hoping this time it works!!! I have a more positive outlook on the whole process this time and I've been stress free and worry free for some strange reason.

In the meantime, I injured myself at work and they think i tore my rotator cuff. Of course I can't get an MRI right now so I'm stuck on light duty, which completely sucks because I LOVE my job but it's also been a total blessing because I don't have to wear the heavy belt that puts all the pressure on my tummy and makes me uncomfortable and cranky. I'm kinda hoping I'm on light duty until my preg test (IDK when that is though!!!) and then I could transfer to light duty for pregnancy without telling anyone at my work.

If I could have a super power I think it would be speed. I would love to have the ability to travel anywhere as fast as I could...that way I'd have a chance to be there for all of my family's good times and bad at an instant.

Check-in: My husband and I have recently made the decision to go back to being foster parents, with the possibility of an FET in July. He wasn't very keen on the idea of fostering again but because I wanted to, he was willing to give it one more shot. After deciding though, I haven't made the necessary moves with our agency to get things going. I don't know what's holding me back at this point. I'm not sure how I feel about the FET either. There is a lot of nervousness for me for trying again.

QOTW: I would want to be able to teleport myself and other people. Then we could all get somewhere fun quickly, and visit those we love often.

My husband ( 33) and I ( 36) found out in August 2012 that he has azoopermia. At first we thought we could live without children but after four months we knew that was not the case. May 2013 we purchased four vials of donor sperm. We did all the blood work necessary. In July I had HSG done, my right tube is open, the left one was inconclusive, as they could not see it, but there was spillage around it. I did my first round of unmedicated IUI in August. Needless to say it was BFN.

Second and third IUI's were also unmedicated and BFN.

I will be doing my 4th IUI but this time with a trigger.
