when you put the bottles in a pot of water to sterilize and forget about them until you smell a horrible burnt plastic smell and come find them completely melted to the pan.

When you're walking around the house with your boob hanging out because you forgot to put it away after nursing. I almost answered the door like that once.
When you dream you fed your LO for another night feeding and wake up to them crying convinced you JUST fed him!! Thank goodness I track in my phone! This is almost nightly!
I woke up in a panic last night because I thought I had fallen asleep with the baby on me when he was actually sound asleep in his room. I don't think my fiancé appreciated being woken up to the sound of me frantically yelling, "WHERE'S THE BABY?!?" Oops.

This happened to DH and I the first week week we were home and we each thought the other one had the baby. DH leapt up and ripped all of the sheets off the bed meanwhike DS was soundly sleeping in his PNP silently laughing at us.

I did the opposite. I woke up at 6:30 am in a panic thinking I had accidentally slept the whole night without feeding her. This was in the first few weeks when I still needed to feed her every few hours. It took a minute for me to realize I had fed her a few hours earlier.

This would happen to me all the time with DS1. I would wake up thinking I fell asleep with him in my arms and that I had dropped him. It was such an upsetting feeling.
I sleep with a teddy bear (I know... It's silly). I woke up one morning in Alice's first week home, and my bear was buried under the covers down by my stomach. I freaked the hell out, thinking it was Alice. It took me about 30 seconds to realize it wasn't
You forget your own phone number when someone asks.
I totally did this at Carter's! Never was able to come up with it. She was like how about email and I had a hard time with that too!! I think the cashier thought I was a moron.
Last night I finally got to cuddle with MH in bed. I was cradling his arm when he rolled over. I freaked, thinking his arm was LO and nearly yanked his arm out of its socket to "prevent the baby from falling". Of course our little guy was fast asleep in his crib...
You almost get in the shower with your bra or underwear on because you're trying to hurry so fast before your baby goes hysterical.
I do this with my glasses a lot too.
Mine is when you have baby's legs in his one piece before you realize that you didn't finish putting his diaper on. And not learning from the first or tenth time you have done it.
I wake up at least once per night thinking I fell asleep nursing and frantically look for DD in the bed or floor before seeing she's in pnp next to me.

When you leak through a breast pad at night and you are too tired to get out of bed so you grab the most absorbent thing in arms length and shove it in your bra. (Yeah... Just did that)
Just thought of another...when I take DD out of her carseat in the store as she's fussy then forget to buckle her seat belt when we get back in the car. Ugh mom fail!
