Multiples

No more MS?

It seems that my constant all day ms is starting to fade away. It freaked me out the other day because I lost a baby at 8.5 weeks last August, so I wanted to be sure the same thing wasn't happening. HBs were 176 & 180, & they have grown so much. Anyone else have their MS starting to dissipate around 9 weeks? I was expecting to be sick until about week 15 because my NP told me it tends to last longer with twins, but it looks like I'm getting a reprieve a little early :)

Re: No more MS?

  • I was nauseous from 6 weeks to 10 weeks. I think everyone is different and whether there are multiples or not, some just don't have MS as bad! :)

  • My MS started around week 8 or 9 and lasted until about 15 or 16 weeks. I think every pregnancy is different though. I wouldn't get worried. I actually had worse MS with my singleton pregnancy than I have with my twins.

This exactly. Mine was awful until week 22. I was throwing up at least 3 times a day. Our first baby though I had MS for only a week (week16). It can fade for a few days and come back full force so like pp said don't think about it too much. I too had 3 late first tri miscarriages so those things always bothered me too but I do have a living child and I know that each pregnancy is ssssooooo different so try not to let every symptom or lack there of freak you out. Easier said than done I know but you will find if you just relax pregnancy will be so much more enjoyable :) hopefully your one of the lucky ones who dosent have it past week 10!

  • I had m/s from week 5-week 7 or 8. It was significantly shorter than with my little boy, but worse while I had it. I'm now 29 weeks with di/di b/g twins.
  • Honestly, there were a few weeks where I was nauseous for the whole week but I never threw up. I don't really know that is call it m/s. Everyone is different.

  • I felt better for about 5 days at 11 weeks...then back to puking until about 34 weeks.  So don't get too concerned if you feel OK!
  • I had m/s/all day sickness starting at 6weeks and it lasted my entire pregnancy. I was one of the lucky ones lol. Hopefully it's done for you.
