Can anyone tell me about this place if you live there? We have never been there and we live in TX at the moment. Do you like living there?

    I love living here.  We have a relatively low cost of living, people are friendly, and it's a great place to raise a family.  :)

    I love living here.  There is always something to do with the family.  And like pp said, people are really friendly.

    my cousins have lived in KC for the past 20 something years and really like it, but they live on the kansas side. they really like living there. i will say though that the MO side might be more affordable. they live in Johnson county and it's in the top 10 wealthiest counties in the country i believe. i went to some open houses with them and i was shocked at how expensive it was! KC has a cute downtown area. i grew up in St. Louis so we visited there a lot. personally KC isn't diverse enough for me, but i think it is a nice town.

    I live NW of KC, but we hightail it out of our podunk town every weekend and go to KC or the Overland Park, KS area.  I've lived in a lot of places and I've been impressed with how clean it is here, especially downtown. There are lots of greenways and parks, too.  I have to say, though, it is frickin' cold here in the winter - and that is coming from a New England girl. The wind is brutal.

    Hi! My husband has a potential job location to this area. We are from mi but have lived in southern oh the past 2 1/2 years. Are there any mom groups in the area that anyone's familiar with?
