Confused and irritated

Today was my follow-up ultrasound to check for remaining product.  I have an appointment scheduled with my doctor tomorrow go over results, but when I got home this evening, I had a message on my home phone (yes, I still have a home phone) from another OB at my clinic telling me that I needed to call her to discuss the "results of my ultrasound." It was well past office hours when I got the message, so I'll have to wait until the morning to check in.  Now, I can't sleep because my head is swirling with questions like: Why did they call when they know I have an appointment tomorrow?  I also got a reminder voicemail about the appointment, so I know I'm not confused about when it is.  Why is a doctor calling instead of a nurse?  Doctors never call direct, it's always a nurse. And why was it not MY doctor? Why did they call my home phone when they ALWAYS call my cell? Ugh! Not looking for advice here, just having trouble sleeping.

    Hi there.  It's been a busy day.  I got in touch with the Dr's office this morning and they scheduled the D&C for first thing tomorrow morning, because as suspected, I had not passed the placenta.  Ultrasound results were definitive enough that they wanted to go ahead and schedule without waiting for my follow-up appointment.  Turns out my doctor was out of the office yesterday, so another doctor was calling.  Not sure why it was her instead of a nurse or why they called my house instead of my cell that's listed as my primary number.  Hoping tomorrow gives me some feeling of closure.  Goodnight, ladies.
