Hi ladies. I'm Stephanie and I have two little boys, Connor is 2 and Cooper is 1. I currently work full-time at a law firm and hate my job, but that's a whole other post

Both boys have been in dc (two days a week) since they were about 4 months old. I had pulled Connor out while I was on maternity leave but both been back in dc since the end of February. For the last three weeks Connor has a total meltdown every morning. I have to pratically push him in the room and he clings to me and cries when I try to leave. It breaks my heart that he is so upset. Does anyone have any tips to make drop off any easier on him...and me? TIA
Re: Intro and DC Help
Do you know of a reason for the meltdowns? New classroom? New teacher? Bedtime pushed back making him tired?
I always drop my kids off with a snack (piece of fruit) as a distraction. They are both food motivated.
Don't linger around, leave after dropping off. Chances are he's only crying for a minute and then stops after you leave. Kids can certainly make you feel guilty. Ask the teacher to help by providing hugs, asking for a helper or showing which friends are playing which toys.
