Second trimester mommies???

I'm officially in my second trimester! So happy, just wish I felt better this time around this morning sickness needs to ease up soon rather than later, also with the little to no energy at all. I'm a second time mom to my 14 mo. old DS and this first trimester has nearly killed me. I wasnt sick this long with him I was sick with him from 6-9 weeks. Has anyone had an ease yet? Or still sick like I am? Energy level?

-oh and too add, idk about you all but im getting anxious to find out the baby's sex also. Its killing me to know whether baby is a boy/girl! I only have a month:))!!

I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow, and on some days the energy level is pretty high. Monday, I came home, dusted my whole house, made dinner, showered, shaved, and took down all the Halloween decorations. Yesterday, I was in bed by 8:30. It depends on the day I think.

I got lucky and wasn't really that sick, but the nausea that use to start in the afternoon and last throughout the evening that I had in the 1st tri seems to have gone away. I do still get "rip your face off" hungry, but I've kind of always been that way, it's just worse now that I'm pregnant.

ETA: Welcome to the 2nd tri! If we were finding out the sex, it would be KILLING me for sure. We're not though, so I'm just excited to see LO look like a baby instead of looking like a chicken like s/he did at 7w5d. :)

  • I'm almost 15 weeks and my sickness went away around 12 but came back last week. I'm finally starting to feel a little better now. But the exhaustion is better some days and not on others :/ I've got two kids (one is only 13 months) and I'm so ready to feel good again! We do go in for a gender ultrasound on Sat! I'm super an anxious and hoping baby shows us what's up!
  • I'm 14 weeks and 4 days. Nausea is not completely gone...but it's eased up...I can actually hold food down. :) Energy level is better but not back to normal just yet. We found out the babies sex when I was about 13 weeks. We are having a boy! :)

  • I'm 14 weeks, almost 15 weeks. I was starting to feel better, when I got nailed with a head cold that I can't take anything for. Now I feel like crud again and I've started with insomnia. I'm hoping once the head cold passes, that my energy level will be close to normal.

  • I'm 15w and I'm finally starting to feel back to normal.  I will still get a wave of nausea once in a blue moon, like when I brush my teeth-gag!  But my energy is back and I actually want to clean the house again.  I did just contract another cold (second one since I found out I was preganant!) so I'm feeling crummy right now, but I still have the enery to take the dog out for a walk and do my chores around the house.
  • Will be 15 weeks tomorrow. And I apologize, but I didn't have much sickness. I'd have a wave of nausea or two throughout the day, but it always went away. Still get a wave here and there, it depends on what I eat. As far as the exhaustion, some days are better than others. I cleaned my downstairs bathroom the other day and did several other things in the house; however, putting up laundry Tuesday did me in. So, like others, the energy level will vary.
  • 14+4 here and my nausea has improved immensely over the last week. I had my worst 2 days ever at 13+1 & 13+2, which were really pukey. Since then I've had hardly a whisper. I still get queasy if I don't eat at the right times (or the times my body is now used to), but I can actually go out and about without looking for the nearest bathroom/exit/window/bucket. My diet is getting back to normal too, but I still have some aversions. Tea, coffee and pizza are the big 3 that I can't touch. I'm also having a lot less lethargy, but I'm off to the dr's today because I've been getting really weak and shakey. I woke up with a pounding heart and an asthma attack this morning. I've also found that I can't stand still for more than a couple of minutes, or  I feel like i'm going to pass out. I'm ok when i'm walking, but if I stop moving the blood drains to my feet. That's while i'm on iron supplements too.

Not meaning to jinx it, but this is the best I've felt since before I got pregnant.

I just jinxed it didn't I?....I'll get the bucket :(

  • I'm 13w3 days today!  I have good days and bad days, but more good with each passing week.  My edd this time is 16 days earlier than it was with DD, and I clearly remember vomiting the day before Thanksgiving while I was getting ready to leave with my mom to visit family.  I've been sicker this time, so I've put Thanksgiving in my head as to when I'll feel better by.  Silly, yeah, but it helps me.  The exhaustion this time is also 10 times worse.  We put DD to bed at 8 and I go take and shower and crash.  Some nights I'm falling asleep on the couch even before that.  I'm hoping it eases up soon, I need some energy to get things done for this LO!

We aren't finding out the sex, but I'm anxious to feel this LO.  I could feel DD easily by around 17/18 weeks, and they say each time is earlier, so I'm hoping I'll start feeling this one soon.  It was kicking the doppler good when I used it last night, so I know it's got some ninja moves going on t there.

  • I'm 14 weeks, and didn't vomit for my whole first trimester. I'm starting to vomit now though, did this happen with anyone else? One of my co-workers said it happened to her, and her OB said it was because of the sudden change in HCG levels.

On the plus side, we got our MaterniT21 results and received good news this week. It was weird to find out gender over the phone and from a blood test, but we are relieved and excited, so it was worth it.
