That's what would your plan be?! WWYPB, duh. Anywho, met with my RE today to discuss IVF. He said if this IUI doesn't work, I should do another since IUIs "reset" if you've conceived, as I did in July. So basically I'm currently on IUI #2 after my mc, and he wants 3 tries before IVF. So I want opinions, if you were 1/6 on IUIs, respond well to meds (I typically have 2 follies), but have been TTC for 2 years, would you move onto IVF? FWIW, it'll be $8-$10K OOP for us.
Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015.
RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal.
IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur.
ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

I didn't explain that well...I'm currently on #5, and will for sure do #6. So, hypothetically, after that I'd be at 1/6, or 16% success. So more IUIs or move to IVF in February? IUIs cost us about $100 upfront, and $300ish added to my account, which has a $100/month payment, and will cover up to $15k total for lifetime fertility treatments. I think I'm around $4k currently, and need $8-10k for ivf. Sheesh, kudos to anyone who followed that! Gah I hate this decision.

I hope you don't mind me posting here, but I like to check in on you girls periodically! The decision for us to move to IVF after failed IUI's (including a m/c) was a bit easier for me because of our amazing insurance coverage....but, a big part of my decision was also that emotionally I just couldn't take the roller coaster of IUI's anymore knowing that IVF has a much higher success rate.
I would consider not just the financial toll, but the emotional toll that continued IUI's will put on you and your family. Good luck with whatever you decide!
After 3 failed Clomid+TI cycles, DD was conceived with IUI#1
