Parents - immediately
Siblings and close friends - 6-9 weeks
Coworkers - 12 weeks ( I was showing)
Facebook/ rest of the world - last week at 17w or when I see them.
Parents - my mom knew once I went for betas, inlaws at 6 weeks
Siblings/Close Friends - Around 11 weeks
Co-workers - I had to tell my principal, aide, and sub at 7 weeks because of the SCH that put me out on bed rest. I didn't feel right about lying and figured if something had happened, God forbid, I would tell or have to tell them anyways. Everyone else I announced at 14 weeks last week. I also told my students and figured they'd spill the beans to the parents.
Facebook - I announced on Sunday by changing my profile pic to a photo of DD holding a book entitled "I'm a Big Sister." The expression on her face was priceless. It was the day we told her about the LO.
Truth be told, I hesitated whenever we decided to tell any of the above, especially at work. But I figured I can't hide the bump anymore, and my ob gave me the go-ahead. It feels good to be out in the open now!
DH & I: 29 TTC #1 4/2009 - DD 2/5/10 TTC #2 since October 2011 2IF issues
Hubby = 1 day after first, very faint, BFP. Waited till his bday :-)
Parents, siblings, my boss = after second beta
Everyone else has been hearing about it from the blabber mouths in my extended family I'm pretty ticked about it. Whoever you decide to tell, be sure you're 100% ready and be ok with the fact that word may spread.
We'll be telling all other extended family at the same time.
My very close girl friends- they got the play by play and pics of pee sticks. They knew about it before DH. There were four of us from our group that are pregnant, the first just had her baby the day of my retrieval. We still count that we were pregnant together the other two are due in March and April.
My sister lives with me but we kept it from her until beta #2.
My VP, director, and business manager also got a play by play (no per sticks though). They are all women and have all been very sympathetic to the ivf process. The director has ivf twins that are 4 and an iui 9 month old. She has been a major confidant.
My kids we told the day of first ultrasound. They are teenagers and had been googling my meds. We didn't tell them we'd been trying, but the super sleuths that they are.... (they are beyond excited about baby too!!)
My brother & his wife I told today. They live in the Cayman islands and we had a Skype call today to catch up on other family matters. My brother is 37 and his wife is 44. I didn't know, but they are trying for#2! That was a shocker!!
My husband's parents are in France. We were going to tell them last week after ultrasound and scheduled a Skype call but my father in law wasn't there so we held it in. I can't wait to see their expression. DH has no children of his own and he's the only son/grandson. They'll be crazy happy.
My parents are coming up for thanksgiving. We're planning to announce then. I'm not thrilled to tell my parents. My mother is a bit whacked ...I know she'll be happy, but she's a crazy person...like psychic crazy person...that's a whole nother thread....
Once were out to parents we'll make it Facebook official

TTC #1 since June 2013
Me: 24
DH: 26 Very Low Count (only 15 active), Low Testosterone
I told everyone immediately - I know you're not supposed to, but I was so darn excited! AND - I got my 1st BPF Beta back on my birthday, so how could I NOT announce it to the world? I'd been waiting 6 years for that. I figured, even if something awful happened and I had another loss, I'd need my friends and family to know what I was going through and help me through it. I was cautious to tell everyone that it was still very early, and I know most people don't announce it this early, but... and that was that. Then, my DH posted that we were having twins at our first ultrasound before I was even finished talking to the nurse.
