This is my 2nd pregnancy and I decided to go the VBAC route. I'm actually feeling excited and optimistic and have my first appointment with a midwife next month!
Here's hoping this little babe is happy and healthy and growing well. Fingers crossed for everything!
Anyone else preparing and hoping for VBAC?
Re: Anyone here going for a VBAC?
I'm really just torn. Part of me honestly just wants to schedule the cesarean. Less stress. Less worry about uterine rupture, tearing...etc. Then the other part of me wants to give it a shot and have a much better birth "experience" this time around.
I'm hoping to have a VBAC this time.
From what I've read I am a good candidate since it'll be just a few months short of 4 years since my c/s by the time I deliver this LO, the reason for my needing a c/s with DD was due to fetal distress from the cord being around her neck 3 times, DD was only 7lb4oz (pretty small for being a week overdue), I have a low transverse scar, and have no medical issues.
I really, really wanted a vaginal birth last time. Everything went great until the pushing part. I hear the recovery is so much easier than with a C section. I plan to discuss it with my doctor at my first appointment and get her opinion.
BFP#3 10/29/13! Beta#1 at 4w5d - 2141, beta#2 at 5w1d - 7651! U/S 11/21/13 showed baby measuring 2 days ahead with a heartbeat of 127 bmp!
This. I like the "idea" but I also had a planned C-section and no complications.DD 1 10/2012
CP 9/2013
DD 2 6/2014
CP 3/2016
BFP 12/8/2016
If I need a c-section that's just that. My midwives contract with an OB who agrees to do a c-section if necessary. She also did my d&c since the midwives don't do surgery. If I do have to have a c-section my midwife and doula will stay with me and I'll be attempting skin to skin and breastfeeding in the OR.

I think I'll check out the VBAC board, thanks for the recommendation ladies.
Moms who had a c/s for breech babies have a good chance at a VBAC, because the reason for the c/s was due to the baby's position, and that is not likely to reoccur. when you get closer to your due date, there are some things you can try if the baby is breech, but i wouldn't worry about that yet.

I've read that before- so I'm really excited about that. And we did try several of the 'exercises' last time when I was further along (sitting upside down, ice pack to the top of belly, flipping upside down in a pool, etc,) but no luck. Just wondering if I did anything 'wrong' early on that I can try differently this time. Def gonna be more vigilant on my prenatal yoga and walking this time. I was so tired last time, wasn't as active as I'd wished...
