SA Update//MFI Experts Needed

So I posted last week about DH's SA. Here's my update:

The nurse on the phone said they were normal. I requested a copy of the SA. They did a "basic semen analysis". It was totally different from the one he had done 2 years ago (different place did it) and I wasn't happy with it b/c it was very hard to read the results. The report gave his semen a grade of "B" which is sluggish progressive motility. There was a handwritten note that said, "low morphology but overall a normal SA". His morphology was 0% with the "normal" being >8%Strict C. Now I don't really know what that means b/c as I said, the other report explained everything and this was shit. But I don't see how anything that's 0% when it should be over 8% is good?? If I am not KU this cycle, we will be going to see an RE. We will be going to the one who did his SA 2 years ago, as it is a woman and they also utilize fertility yoga (already do this when I have time) and acupuncture, which I would like to give a try. His morphology from the other report was like 34% or something, but clearly their norms are different and they didn't use letter grades on the report.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of SA?

I would read that as everything but morphology being in the normal range.

DH's morphology was at 5% and we were told more than 4% is "normal" under strict Krueger. DH also had sluggish progressive motility. His overall motility was 37%. 35% of that was sluggish.

I would see if the RE will rerun the SA.

@uagirl Thank you. it was 5 days of abstinence, which I think is a bit long...his overall motility was 45% I think, not sure which of that was sluggish. I will have to look at the report again. It was not detailed at all. It didn't even say total sperm count..it said sperm concentration which I am assuming is the same?

DH's instruction sheet said at least 3 days abstinence, but no more than 5. I never got an actual paper copy of the report, only had the nurse read it to me over the phone. It was sent to the urologist from there. I didn't get a total count, but I think what I was given was a concentration. It was told to me as 56 mil per mL.

Yeah, that's what his said too. He was only 29 mil per ML I think...I will have to read it again. I know it was definitely less than his last SA, which I was expecting since he is 2 years older now.

@Amores0121 do not lose hope!

My DH's #s are:

Motility: 32% (50-100 normal)

Morphology 0-4 %

Density 15.0 (I'm not sure what this is but the paper I have says its low)

Sperm count : 52.5 million/mL

Total LIVE sperm 16.8 million/mL (I think the cut off for normal is 20)

I wish I new his numbers for now (those are from 2008) but I just wanted to let you know it can totally happen and I eastern and western medicine combined is a great plan.

Oh and when we did IUIs post wash count was only 3 million of his *best* swimmers.
