Birth month board

I introduced yesterday and omg looking at the board and how many people randomly picked up a test and peed and gotten a positive makes me in awe. Realization set in, I've been so used to everyone on these boards facing infertitly.

I agree! I have trouble sometimes with my birth month board. It's hard to see posts like "how long did you try for?" and "in three words, describe how you conceived." I don't read them because just seeing the titles is bad enough.
It's a whole different reality that I'll never be able to connect with!

Ya, it's a whole other world Yesterday on my BMB there was a post about "how you got pregnant in three words"...I got through 5 replies and closed it. Even though I'm here, it's still painful to read about how easy it is for everone else. You'll figure out what posts are "safe".

And you always have us when you just can't take it anymore

Yeah I peeked over to my birth month board and yikes they are harsh. Ive decided to keep out and stick around here.

I find that they are so rude on other boards. I'm all about telling someone the truth and not everything is unicorns farting rainbows but damn some of those women are as hateful as a high school bully.

Yup! It can be infuriating. I go to mine from time to time, but prefer to stay over here. The posts that get me are the "I hate being pregnant because of *fill in the symptom*" I just want to tell them all to shut the F up, think of how lucky you are to even be pregnant, most likely without help and for free! The other thing that bugs me is all the snarkiness. Why is it necessary? I post a lot over here because even if I am being a little psycho, at least you ladies understand WHY I'm being psycho and over thinking things...they would just be mean and make ignorant comments.

@PhillyJ33 - we share a BMB. It was really bad before, but has calmed down a bit. I go for entertainment purposes and to read what others are experiencing around the same time, but would say that this is the board I come to for support.

It's crazy right?!

The thing that really bothers me is sometimes how certain people post about early miscarriages. There was one post like "well, this one wasn't meant to be, oh well, I'll see you guys on the July board". I'm like, damn, you are so lucky to be able to get pregnant like *snap* and you don't even know it. I definitely think miscarriages are felt differently between fertiles and IVFers. While both horrific, the IVFer doesn't get to just *snap* try again next month!

Oh, also the posts of "we were trying for six months and I was starting to think something was wrong with us, but then yay we got our BFP". Sigh.

Similarly, I just don't like seeing all the "goodbye" posts in general. It's why I stopped going over there. I was already freaking out that something bad was going to happen, and seeing so many other women over there miscarrying and posting about it left and right just made me that much more anxious. I only go over and lurk when I'm having a strong happy day!

My first bmb I did not feel like I fit in. This time, I like my BMB a lot better. Yes, most people didn't have IF, but there are still some and there are a lot of PGAL girls.

Early on, I got INTO it on a post by someone who was mad at her sister (who was suffering from looong term IF) for being "selfish" and "cold" toward her since she was now pregnant. It was infuriating.

So yeah, I lurk a little bit on my BMB but hang out here for the most part. The ladies here are wonderful!

It's hard for me to believe anyone would feel that way, anyway. I had my first and only miscarriage 13 years ago, when I was with my CRAZY ex-husband, at only 7-8 wks, and I was completely devastated! I mean, I was 20, so the thought never even crossed my mind that it could happen, but I was horribly devastated and shocked for years. At the time, I didn't even know that I'd never get pregnant again without IVF. I was just grieving over the loss of a child. Honestly, not a lot of people know this - but I still have the crib set that I bought for that baby so many years ago. I've never been able to make myself get rid of it - like I'd be giving up hope of ever having a child again or something. Funny thing is, now that I'm having twins, I'm going to need different ones, anyway. But - I don't think I'll ever not be sad when I think of the child I lost. Only comfort is that that sweet little angel baby didn't have to have the awful ex as a dad. That would've really screwed up a kid. Okay, sorry for the novel here. Love you sweet ladies!!!

Yes, this is exactly how I feel!! Since m/c previously before this pregnancy. I am very very worried and saw already a few goodbyes that seriously made me shutter and worry all over again. I even requested a 3rd beta tomorrow because of this light spotting I'm having. I will hopefully feel reassured and peace of mind by 3rd beta results tomorrow before 1st u/s on Monday.

Maybe we could revive our Cycle check in's over here? lol. Or do our own Birth month check in. I feel that I dont have much in common with the women on June's (except those over here too...) They dont have the same fears, the same joys. And at least right now, they dont have the same experiences. We are still living week by week with RE appts and they haven't even schedule their first OB appt. They're already planning announcements and gender reveals and we're just hoping to stay pregnant long enough to hit those milestones.

Now, when I'm in the Jerry Springer mood...I'll pop over to see who's getting flamed at the moment...but I really just dont have time for the cattyness over there.

I got involved after 1st tri. I enjoy it now. It is fun to talk about the fun aspects of pregnancy with people in the same stage. Once someone posted a poll of how many kids do you want. I did go into a spiel how you dont always get to "choose" how many kids you want, etc. My BMB has several IF ladies as well as a lot of ladies who had losses so people there do get it. and by 2nd tri a lot of the loons were gone. anyways in summary it can still be fun as your pregnancy progresses.
