Parenting after a Loss

Migraines anyone?

I've been having a lot off issues with vertigo and migraines this past month. I was taken off the mini pill a few weeks ago and it has only improved things ever so slightly. I was curious if anyone had any insight or info on how to get rid of them.

Since I've been to the ER twice with severe vomiting, I've had a ton of tests and no real answer for a cause. It's killed my BF production and I've had to supplement too. :(

Re: Migraines anyone?

  • ME! Oh em gee, they suck.  I've literally cried over how bad my migraines have been, and I never used to get bad headaches!  I don't know for sure the symptoms of vertigo, but I've felt like I've had morning sickness for a month now.. I thought for sure I was pregnant!  The headaches and nausea intensified right around my cycle time, but even now that my cycle has subsided it's still "there".. I can sympathize!

I'll ask what they ran.  There were tests at the ER & at my endos offfice.  All I know is I'm not KU and my armour thyroid dosage is fine. I had valium at the ER and had to pump & dump. No AF yet though....and I've thought it was weather related since temps here have been between 30 & 80 this month...we're getting more bad weather today.

I've had migraines since I was a teenager...hypothyroid since 8 or 9. The vertigo just started last month.

  • Thanks guys! I will see if any of those drugs are okay to take BF'ing. Unfortunately, due to the type of loss I had I won't ever be able to use an IUD.

  • I don't get them all that frequently but I'm pretty sure they're hormone related since they're always right around O for me.  While BFing, I had some success with caffeine, which I know is not a great thing while BFing but I felt more comfortable with it than some other options.  Sleep is always most effective for me but that's obviously not always feasible with LOs around.
