do they make a leap pad for toddlers? We have an iPad that i cart to most places we go but I'm looking for something a little smaller that my 3 year old can use and basically work on his own so i don't have to bring the iPad everywhere.
DD1 has a LeapPad II (she loves it) and we're getting one for DD2 for her birthday. The LeapPads are really durable and all the apps are learning related. I can't justify spending the money on an adult tablet for a toddler, and I don't really want them to be able to access the internet or app stores. My kids can navigate my ipad, but they're not getting one.
My oldest three (almost 8, six and two and a half) have Ipad Minis. They love them. They are great for travel (We are in a layover right now on our way to Ireland today!! I have a full size one as does DH, but I am planning on upgrading to the new one when we get back from over seas.
My parents just bought Reese for Hanukkah the 7 inch kindle fire. I didn't want her to have an expensive thing as the iPad mini--and it was honestly only about 15 dollars more than the leap pad.
I am excited about using kindle free time with it though.
DD has a Nabi and never uses it. We are actually giving it to my nephew who is 5 in hopes he will use it. DD just simply prefers my iphone or kindle. The Kindle Fire has lots of great game options!
We got my 2.5 year old son the VTech InnVab 3S. He uses my Xoom tablet however, he somehow managed to get into a sex chat room when I was doing the dishes one night so we decided better off having a child friendly one! He is getting it for Christmas/Hannuakkah so I can't tell you how well it is!
