Baby Shoes

Would it be stupid to buy some sherpa lined booties for my 2 month old where her foot is currently measuring 3.5 inches (size 1) and the bootie would be about 4.5 inches (size 4)?
We are wondering since they have that fur lining inside or would she look like she is wearing clown shoes? It's only an inch difference.
Thanks!

Re: Baby Shoes

  • An inch is a lot of extra space for them and shoes at that age are pointless. You are really only putting them on so they can turn right around and kick them off.

  • Agreed. DS got shoes as gifts and I've only tried them out once because all he did was kick them off. And an inch is a big difference. Even as an adult, if I buy shoes that are too big they either don't stay on or they cause painful rubbing.

  • Yeah, that's pointless.  An inch is huge and the only hope you have of keeping shoes on her is if they fit well and have elastic at the ankle.  Don't waste your money :)
