Pumped Breast Milk on the go

Might be a dumb question but do you need to warm up breast milk or can it be fed at room temp?
LO's circ is Thursday morning. I've been instructed to have him fed by 6am. Appiontment is at 8:30am and he won't be able to eat again until 9:45am. I will nurse him at home before we go but I've pumped some milk to feed by bottle after the circ since it will be quicker. Should I warm it up under hot tap water or will it be okay at room temp?

Also secondary question...
What's your fav nipple ointment?
I have the Medela tender care and also have a sample of Aleva Naturals nursing balm which is lanolin free.
Does being lanolin free make any difference? Thoughts?

    I love motherlove nipple cream . Why do you have to wait so long to feed him ? I think room temp is fine

    My boob. is a lot quicker than a bottle. especially if the bottle needs warming.

    2nd, I've only used the Lansinoh Lanolin, but have heard amazing things off coconut oil.

    I second the mother love, it totally healed my little scabs (along with alternating the soothies nipple gel pads) and room temp is fine as long as LO likes it. Some babies only like it warm and some are ok no matter what the temp. Good luck with the circ!

    We have a circ appt Friday also but have been instructed to "give him the meal of his life" at 7:45 for an 8:30 appt so he will be in a milk coma !!! ;)

    My LC rx'd APNO (all purpose nipple ointment) and it is amazing. You can only get it at a compounding pharmacy but it has healed cracked, bleeding and blistered nipples, way better than the lanolin. It works really quick an helps with the pain too. Good luck with the Circumcision.

    By the time he gets back to us after the circ it will be about 9:30-9:45. This clinic does more than 1 baby at a time and then come out afterwards and talks to the group of parents on care etc. all at one time. Unfortunately they don't do it at the hospital while your there anymore. The only options are to make a follow up appiontment with the hospitals urologist a week following the birth ( most expensive option because your paying hospital fees and doctor fees) or you can make an appiontment with another specialist at their office within the first few weeks of life. Which is what we were recommend to do. And the cost is less
    Because your not paying hospital fees. They said no food after 6 am and to give him 1/2ml of infants Tylenol.

    I am allergic to lanolin so I bought the Boob Ease nipple cream from Babies r us. I love it! It is olive oil based

    We did the same thing when I was EPing for DD.  So much easier to take a bottle with us whenever we went somewhere- didn't have to worry about warming it up.

    Don't be surprised if LO doesn't want to eat.  Our LO was super tired after his circ and didn't really eat all day.  Pedi and nurses all said this was fine and normal.

    I EP now, and I give my LO the bottles right out of the fridge. He doesn't seem to have a problem with it and he's 6 weeks.  FTM and I never researched it, but seems to be working!
