Babies: 0 - 3 Months

The transition...

We are doing it tonight! Putting LO in her own room. Last few nights she's been not sleeping except when I put her in bed with me. I co slept with my toddler till right before DD was born and I can't do that again especially since I'm soon tired and I don't feel safe. Are your babies in their own room and sleeping better? My DD is 7 weeks and sleeps 4-5hrs on a GOOD day.

Re: The transition...

  • We put LO in her crib in the nursery at 5 weeks old. We transitioned by putting her in her crib for daytime naps the week prior.

  • We put our girls in their room around 6 weeks. I don't know if it's helped them sleep better but it definitely helped us! They make so many little noises I was jumping up all the time. Good luck, it felt really weird and I slept in the room with them the first night but I'm so glad we did it.

  • Our LO was in his crib in his nursery from the day we got home from the hospital. Best. Decision. Ever.

  • We made it through the first night....or I rather made it. She got up every 3 hrs but went straight to sleep after with no fussing, rocking. It was great. I just hope tonight is the same way. I also put her in her room for naps and slept good as well.

  • We out our twins in the nursery at 4 weeks (they're almost 6 weeks now). I've def been sleeping better, and the girls are more used to the nursery as well. I hope you have many more good nights!!
