3rd Trimester

So over this 3rd Trimester thing....

This last week (week 34) seems like it tried it's best to kill me. Started on Monday when I woke up with a pain in my @ss...literally. By Tuesday morning I called the OB/Gyn and they said they couldn't help me I needed to go see a butt doctor, so they scheduled me to see one asap that afternoon. Turns out I had a thrombosed hemorrhoid. So basically they shot my butt crack up with Lidocaine and cut it open to remove the 2 blood clots that had formed in there. (I recommend this procedure about as much as I would walking into molten lava barefoot, or getting eaten alive by a bear, which every sounds more painful to you.) Thank God my DH loves me, he's had to wash my butt and put cream on it for days. By Thursday I was so worn out I tried to take a nap. Which is exactly when DD decided she would get hiccups for the first time and continued to fidget in me at evenly spaced and perfectly timed intervals for 45 minutes straight. Woke up Saturday morning and realized she had apparently dropped over night, no joke. I had a hard time getting out of bed and an even harder time trying to get ready for work. Has anyone else just had about enough? My DS 2 years ago was never this difficult! I know every baby is different, but she seems bound and determined to eat every ounce of sanity I still possess and she's not even out of me yet!

  • Wow! Sorry you've had such a bad go. I'm with you on being over the third tri. Ready for an outside baby. Hang in there.
Can't figure out the signature thing, so here's the short, short version.....first daughter born on November 10, 2013. She was conceived through the magic of IVF after 2+ years of TTC.

  • I'm beyond done with 3rd Tri! I've been dealing with crazy issues the whole pregnancy, mainly a large uterine fibroid. That being said it is causing me all kinds of pain in these last few weeks. Trying to hang in there! You can do it!

  • Ugh you have had it rough, I feel for you. If it makes you feel any better my baby has dropped too, It's impossible to put on pants, walk, do stairs, basically anything. I still can't say I'm ready for baby to come though, I don't know if ill ever feel ready.
  • Thanks ladies! Doctor said yesterday that they won't check my cervix for another 2 weeks. I said good luck with that, my son was two weeks early and I don't plan on holding out until Thanksgiving! I said see you folks on Halloween if I'm lucky!

  • Update ladies: I went into labor on the 18th at 35 weeks. My doctor gave me an injection in my arm to stop the contractions because I was having them 1 1/2 minutes apart and they were getting stronger. So now it doesn't seem like it will be long before she's here.

  • Good luck! At least you have a sense of humor, keep it up, I'm sure it's hard :)
  • I'm sorry, but this post made me laugh out loud.  I have turned miserable the past week, but nothing compared to what all you have going on.  I agree, I'm SO over this pregnancy and am officially ready to just have this baby already, but reading your post made me realize things could be so much worse.  Good luck to you the rest of your pregnancy!
  • Hang in there momma! I'm sorry you've had such a rough go-I thought my false labor & uterian fibroid were bad, but no surgery. Hopefully the rest of your pregnancy is as relaxing as it can possibly be!
  • hopefully you'll make it to full term....
