I think it will work tackling this in 3 day chunks! Please let me know if you want it posted differently.
Day 4- I am thankful for my brother, Josh. He lives with us (has for about 2.5 years) and is a huge help. He is an amazing uncle to Ben, and actually spends his only day off each week babysitting! He is my best friend, and I swear we share a brain. It's kind of scary, actually.
Day 5- I am thankful for the roof over my head. We do struggle financially more often than I'd like, but when it comes down to it, we have a home to live in that is warm, safe, and dry. We live in a safe neighborhood, and have some pretty nice neighbors. While I'd prefer to be in a home we own, I am also grateful to an understanding and flexible landlord.
Day 6- I am thankful for my church family. I have been attending the same church since I was 14, and began attending with my mom and Barb. I have grown up in my church, and now hold leadership positions. I have served on our Board of Directors for 3 years, and am now a Deacon. I also serve in our church choir, and worship ministry. The people in our church were so amazing and supportive while mom was sick, and continue to be a huge support to Barb and I (and of course my family) now that she is gone. They help us out with food cards, side jobs for Danny to bring in extra money, and lots of love, support and prayers. I have developed some of the closest friendships of my life with my church family, and I know I could call on any one of them for anything, and they would be there in a heartbeat. I could really go on and on about how amazing these people are, and how important they are to me, but I will just say that God placed me in that church as a child, and I have grown so much there- obviously physically, but spiritually and emotionally as well. I am so blessed to be a part of such a special community!

5. I am thankful for my crazy job. For all the long hours and stress, it has afforded us many material comforts for which I am most grateful. The generous maternity leave benefit of 18 weeks is much appreciated.
6. I am thankful for our nanny. She's a little nutty but loves G and provides excellent care for him. I'm a little worried about her handling both kids but if anyone can do it I suspect she can.

4. I'm thankful for my DH. He is working crazy long hours (15+ closer to 18 hour days) and has been for the past 2 months. He's a grain farmer and it harvest time around here. I'm thankful that he is working so hard for us. I know he loves his job and to him it isn't work, but I'm thankful that he loves it so much too.
5. I'm thankful for my job. I love teaching and missed it last year when I was off. I love my son more than anything, but still do enjoy teaching and am glad that I went back. I wish some people in my life would understand this and not automatically assume that I would rather be working than with my son.
6. I am thankful for my car. Sounds silly- but I love having the freedom to go places when I want and not worry about rides. We live in a small city which has no transit system so I can't imagine being a one (or no) car family. Due to my husband's job there is no way that I could just drop him off and use the car. He needs it all day long.
5. I am thankful for my dad without him we would have our house and he constantly comes and helps fix things because I am not handy and DH is always away.
6. I am thankful for the amazing support staff at all my doctors offices those ladies know how to work and they are so supportive if it wasn't for most of them LO would be here today.

These are in no particular order, right?
4. I am thankful for my job. While I do not particularly like what I do, I work at a great place that so far has been very flexible since I've had DS. As an attorney, it's pretty unheard of to work from 8:30-4:30 5 days a week (no weekends), and I am blessed to have the type of job where if I need to stay home, leave early, whatever, no one bats an eye about it.
5. I am thankful for my parents. Although my mom drives me BSC, they are great grandparents and are super supportive and helpful, and beyond generous.
6. I am thankful for our nanny. Other than DH, I don't trust anyone with DS more than her. I'm a little nervous about the arrival of her second child next month, but more so because I am nervous about how DS will react, rather than because I'm nervous about her ability to handle a 4 year old, a 19 month old, and a newborn. I don't think she could possibly love DS any more and I love that he loves her enough to cry when she leaves every day.
