Christmas Card from someone I don't know

I got a card today and I have no idea who it's from.  After reading the name I realize that they also sent me one last year. It doesn't have DH's name on it but they have my new address from when our addresses were switched last year.  Should I send them a card back?  It's really bothering me that I don't know who these people are.

  • Just keep it and ask DH later on. You're under no obligation to send one back.

  • Maybe it's an old friend that has gotten married and has a new last name?  If it was me, and I had extra cards, I'd send one just in case.
  • It was probably me! :) When I was addressing Christmas Cards I seriously didn't know who 3 people were. I just know they sent us gifts for DD at my shower and I thought they should get a Christmas Card.  I guess DH family friends.  That is strange.  Maybe ask your parents...

Oh, thanks for the card.Stick out tongue

I did the same with my shower list.  I'll ask DH tonight and see if he knows, my mom may also know.  It's just annoying that I can't figure it out.

  • Could it be a cousin? I would ask DH and your parents. Someone probably knows them. I got a card from someone yesterday. Before I opened it I had no idea who it was from... turns out it was from one of my best friends who married this summer. I can't believe I did not recognize her new name. It happens.

  • no you don't need to send one.  I only send cards to people who I've had contact with over the last year, and by contact I mean actually spoke with.
  • How weird! I would also ask my parents and family to see if they can figure it out.

Also, google the name on the card. Maybe it will show where they work, if they have facebook/myspace accounts, there addresses they've lived at or whatever. Something might come up that will ring a bell.

You totally have to tell us who it is once you find out!
