Moments That Make You Laugh

When our DS passes a bowel movement, it often sounds like a wet explosion in his diaper.  It makes us laugh nearly every time because it's just so loud!  So after I heard it (and waited a few minutes in case there was more), I picked him up and brought him over to the changing table.  That's when the fun began...

As I was taking off his diaper, he spit up some, milk running down his cheek, into his hair, and onto his shoulder sleeves.  I wiped him up and proceeded with the diaper changing.  As I lifted his legs to pull the dirty diaper out, he started peeing all over his chest and the outfit that I had pulled up to his upper chest.  I dried him up and the mat beneath him with a towel and then started to clean up his diaper area.  As I pulled out the diaper cream, he sneezed which caused his legs to kick into my fingers, getting cream all over his socks.  I took his socks off and continued to finish his diaper changing.  I put him in the crib, got a new outfit, and completely dressed him.  As I stood up to look at him, another explosion in his diaper!!  

I stared at him in disbelief of what just went down and then started laughing hysterically.  Had it been in the middle of the night I don't think I would have had a good sense of humor about it but this was just absurd!  Welcome to motherhood, I guess... :P

    LO had an explosive poop at the pediatrician's office at his 2 weeks appointment.  It was all up his back and everywhere. DH and I were changing him quickly before the DR came in and we looked up and noticed there was poop in his hair! IN HIS HAIR! Our best guess is that he got his foot in it and flung it.  It was so nasty but hilarious at the same time!
